Women-owned businesses receive less than 3% of all VC investments. Seeds of Fortune is challenging the Status Quo by developing young women innovators to participate in our competitive Girls Start-Up Accelerator to learn funding from an earlier age.
Scholarship Details
- 12 month program beginning in May each year
- Top participants may win up to $3,000 to fund their business ideas
- Online workshops led by industry professionals
- College preparation and post-secondary support included
- Opportunity to pitch to corporate judges during Founders Day
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a current high school junior
- Total household income (including custodial and non-custodial parents) must be $125,000 or less
- Must attend a public or parochial high school
- Open to students of all genders and backgrounds
Application Process
- Develop an innovative social enterprise business idea
- Create a professional website for your proposed business
- Submit your complete business plan and website
- Top 20 semi-finalists will present their ideas to BMO Capital Markets
- Top 10 finalists will pitch in person to the Grant Cardone team in Miami, Florida
This one-year program helps HS Scholars access the tools, resources, and networks necessary to supercharge social impact ideas. We help them formulate their ideas and provide the necessary feedback and funding streams to turn their ideas into action.
