Scholarship Description

The Shared Energy Future Foundation Trade School Scholarship supports students pursuing hands-on careers through skilled trade education. This program awards financial assistance to high school seniors and first-year apprentices who demonstrate interest in trade professions and a commitment to their future careers.

Scholarship Details

  • Ten scholarships awarded in the amount of $1,000 each
  • Scholarships support enrollment in accredited trade school programs
  • Program administered by the Shared Energy Future Foundation

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a high school senior with a minimum 2.0 GPA or a first-year apprentice
  • Must demonstrate interest in pursuing a career through trade school education
  • Must plan to enroll in an eligible trade school program:
    • Automotive
    • Carpenters
    • Commercial/Specialized Driver’s License
    • Electrical
    • Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC)
    • Welding
    • Plumbers/Pipefitters
  • Must be located in California, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, or Washington
  • Demonstrated financial need may be considered

Application Process

  1. Confirm eligibility based on academic status, location, and intended trade field
  2. Ensure the personal statement meets formatting requirements of no more than two pages, double spaced, and 12 point Times New Roman font
  3. Obtain two letters of recommendation
  4. Submit the completed application and all required materials by the stated deadline

Personal statements are required for ALL scholarships. Please write a personal statement that tells SEFF a little about yourself, your career and educational goals and objectives, and what experiences, if any, you already have in your planned educational and career choice.
