The Shared Energy Future Foundation Trade School Scholarship supports students pursuing hands-on careers through skilled trade education. This program awards financial assistance to high school seniors and first-year apprentices who demonstrate interest in trade professions and a commitment to their future careers.
Scholarship Details
- Ten scholarships awarded in the amount of $1,000 each
- Scholarships support enrollment in accredited trade school programs
- Program administered by the Shared Energy Future Foundation
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a high school senior with a minimum 2.0 GPA or a first-year apprentice
- Must demonstrate interest in pursuing a career through trade school education
- Must plan to enroll in an eligible trade school program:
- Automotive
- Carpenters
- Commercial/Specialized Driver’s License
- Electrical
- Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC)
- Welding
- Plumbers/Pipefitters
- Must be located in California, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, or Washington
- Demonstrated financial need may be considered
Application Process
- Confirm eligibility based on academic status, location, and intended trade field
- Ensure the personal statement meets formatting requirements of no more than two pages, double spaced, and 12 point Times New Roman font
- Obtain two letters of recommendation
- Submit the completed application and all required materials by the stated deadline
Personal statements are required for ALL scholarships. Please write a personal statement that tells SEFF a little about yourself, your career and educational goals and objectives, and what experiences, if any, you already have in your planned educational and career choice.
