The Higher Foundation, in partnership with Sage Consulting Partners, is proud to announce the launch of the SASH Scholarship (Shirley Ann Steinback-Hawthrone Scholarship) — a new community-sourced initiative designed to support the next generation of healthcare leaders and honor a lifetime of service and leadership.
Scholarship Details
- One scholarship awarded
- Award amount: $2,000
- Funds distributed directly to the recipient
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a college student in Georgia
- Must be pursuing a degree in nursing
- Must demonstrate alignment with values of service, advocacy, stewardship, and humanity
Application Process
- Complete the online application during the May 1st – January 1st window.
- Submit all required materials through the application portal.
- Top applicants may be selected for a second round.
Our open application period is May 1st - January 1st. Top applicants will be selected by February 1st, and the 2nd Round application deadline is February 15th. The scholarship committee will select one student as The Shirley Ann Steinback-Hawthrone Scholarship recipient, and he or she will receive $2,000.00 directly via PayPal by February 28th. This scholarship will help the awarded student pursue education or training in nursing, unhindered by basic needs insecurity.
