SPALS is committed to supporting the education of our future professionals. Applications are accepted for our two $1,500 scholarships throughout the year, however, they must be received by September 1st for consideration during that calendar year.
Scholarship Details
- Scholarship for graduate students in Speech Pathology or Audiology
- Must be pursuing a Master’s or Doctoral degree at a Louisiana university
- Sponsored by SPALS, an organization that supports speech and hearing professionals in Louisiana schools
- Promotes professional development, advocacy, and educational collaboration statewide
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must be a full-time entering or continuing graduate student
- Must be enrolled in a Speech Pathology or Audiology program at a Louisiana university
- Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2
Application Process
- Confirm enrollment in a qualifying graduate program in Louisiana
- Ensure that you meet the minimum GPA and citizenship requirements
- Complete the SPALS scholarship application form (must be typed)
- Gather any additional required materials as indicated on the application
- Submit the completed application by the stated deadline
