The SWACO Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to students who reside within SWACO’s District and have been accepted to an accredited college or university, as well as students who live outside the District but have been accepted to and plan to attend an accredited college or university within SWACO’s District.
Scholarship Details
- $2,500 scholarship awarded each academic year
- Renewable for up to four years with a maximum total of $10,000
- Funds may be used at an accredited community college, four-year college, or university
- Designed to support education related to environmental sustainability and solid waste management
Eligibility Criteria
- Graduating student with a minimum of 20 credit hours or a graduating GED student
- Resident of SWACO’s District or attending a college or university within SWACO’s District
- Accepted for enrollment at an accredited community college, four-year college, or university
- Pursuing a degree in environmental science, environmental studies, engineering, or a related field applicable to solid waste management
Application Process
- Review the SWACO Scholarship Program eligibility requirements
- Confirm residency or school attendance within SWACO’s District
- Complete the scholarship application form
- Provide documentation of acceptance to an accredited college or university
- Submit all required materials by the stated application deadline
