Eligibility Criteria
- Texas high school graduate
- Entering as a full-time freshman in a Texas college or university in the fall
- Majoring in music education
- Will eventually pursue a Texas teacher certification with music as the primary teaching field
Application Process
- Provide the names and emails of 5 references.
- Write a short essay that describes when you knew you wanted to be a music educator, the teachers who inspired you, and the teacher you want to become.
- Attach a professional resume that includes a list of musical and academic honors, awards, recognitions, affiliations, community involvement, and service.
- Include a copy of your most recent academic transcript.
