The Brooke Elaina Thomas Foundation, Inc. will present a minimum of $1,000 in annual scholarship award(s) to deserving graduating high school seniors to assist in covering a portion of his or her college expenses. The Board of Directors will review student applications who match the criteria for the scholarship and will make the selection of one or more students annually. The Board reserves the right to rescind an award should a student fail to enroll in an accredited institution.
In order to be considered for this scholarship, students must submit all the following: A completed application form; A copy of the Student Aid Report received from the Department of Education after filing the FASFA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid); A double-spaced, typed composition (up to 500 words) describing the creative vision for your life and how you plan to make an impact on the world and the people around you; An unofficial copy of SAT and/or ACT score(s); An unofficial copy of academic transcript(s); and Three letters of recommendation from the following sources: One letter from a school official (i.e., principal, teacher, counselor, coach, etc.); One letter from a church or community acquaintance; An additional letter from either of the two sources listed above.
