Technology Concept Groups International (TCGi) Foundation is dedicated to connecting black women and girls to meaningful opportunities in technology and computing. Through our work, we aim to diversify the next generation of technology leaders. The TCGi Foundation Scholarship Fund facilitates partnerships with key stakeholders to increase the visibility and representation of black women pursuing degrees in computing.
Scholarship Details
- The Dawna J. Colbert Scholarship is for graduating high school seniors entering college
- The John Fitzpatrick Scholarship is for current college or graduate students
- Both scholarships support studies in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering
- Open to students attending two- or four-year educational institutions
- Each scholarship honors the spirit and dedication of its namesake
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants for the Dawna J. Colbert Scholarship must be graduating high school seniors
- Applicants for the John Fitzpatrick Scholarship must be enrolled in a college or graduate program
- Must be pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering
- Must attend or plan to attend an accredited two- or four-year college or university
Application Process
- Determine the scholarship that fits your education level
- Prepare academic transcripts and any additional documentation as required
- Complete the online scholarship application form
- Submit any required essays or recommendation letters
- Ensure all materials are submitted by the posted deadline
TCGi Scholarship Committee will award $2,500 per semester to a Black woman who will be attending a two or four-year institution. If enrolled in a 4-year institution, the scholarship can amount to $10,000. Scholarship funds will be awarded to the student upon evidence of registration at an accredited higher education institution.
