At Lowe's, we know you need a strong foundation to build something extraordinary. That's why in 2009 we will award more $350,000 in scholarships to students nationwide—in the communities where we do business.
The Lowe’s Scholarship
Lowe’s will award one hundred forty (140) $2,500 scholarships to high school seniors who intend to enroll in an undergraduate course of study for the 2009-2010 school year. The scholarship is open to both Lowe’s employees and the community. Winners are selected based on academic performance, leadership, community involvement and/or work experience.
Candidates must have a minimum GPA of 3.25 in order to be considered. Awards may be used at any accredited 2-year or 4-year college, university or technical school within the United States and may be applied toward the cost of tuition, books, fees and required class supplies. Awards are not renewable.
Lowe’s Scholarship Programs are funded by Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation and managed by International Scholarship and Tuition Services (ISTS). Semi-finalists will be notified in April. Finalists will be selected and notified in late May. A final list of winners will be posted in June.
