USA Lacrosse is proud to support the Michael Breschi Scholarship, which is awarded annually to two graduating high school seniors who plan to attend college and are the son or daughter of an active lacrosse coach or official. The parent or guardian can be either a male or female coach or official in youth, high school, or college and should be a full-time employee of an educational institution. The scholarship was established in 2007 to honor Michael’s memory following a fatal accident.
This is a one-time scholarship award of $2,500 for each of two recipients. An amount of $2,500 will be issued to the scholarship winner’s college/university after the transcript of the first semester/quarter has been received by USA Lacrosse. Scholarship winners are responsible for checking with their college or university to verify that acceptance of this scholarship meets all institutional regulations, particularly with regards to financial aid packages. If the recipient is a scholarship-athlete, the scholarship must meet all NCAA regulations as they pertain to that institution and the student-athlete.
