The Walt Disney UNCF Scholars Program is providing both scholarships and internships to high-achieving college students across the country. This program offers career readiness tools to assist students in achieving their goals in the entertainment industry through experiential learning, internship and mentorship with The Walt Disney Company.
Scholarship Details
- One-time $5000 award, eligible for renewal during senior year
- Provides both scholarships and internships to eligible students
- Offers mentorship and career readiness support through Disney professionals
- Includes experiential learning opportunities within the entertainment industry
- Potential for early career placement with The Walt Disney Company upon graduation
Eligibility Criteria
- Junior enrolled full-time at a four-year college or university
- Students must have an interest in off-camera careers in media and entertainment within all businesses of The Walt Disney Company, such as Disney Entertainment (includes Television and Studios), ESPN, Disney Experiences (includes Parks and Resorts)
- Students must be available for the full length of the summer internship, if offered.
Application Process
- Complete the official online application through UNCF’s scholarship portal
- Students must complete a 500 word essay outlining his/her career goals in the entertainment industry
- Provide transcripts and any additional documentation required by UNCF
- Selected students may be invited to participate in interviews or additional assessments
- Recipients will be notified of scholarship awards and internship placement opportunities
- After graduation, program alumni may be considered for early career roles with The Walt Disney Company
