The Twinsburg, Ohio Twins Days Festival awards a $2,000 scholarship to a set of twin high school seniors each year. Additional factors for consideration include an essay submission and previous Twins Days Festival attendance record.
Scholarship Details
- Merit-based
- Each recipient twin receives $1,000
- Awarded as a unit to one set of twins
- All eligibility criteria applies to both twins; both twins must apply
Eligibility Criteria
- U.S. citizen (or citizen of a U.S. territory)
- One of a set of twins
- High school senior
- Demonstrated commitment to community service
- Academic excellence
- Participation in at least 3 of the last 5 Twins Days Festivals
- Attendance at the current year's Twins Days Festival
Application Process
- Ensure you and your twin have participated in 3 of the past 5 Twins Days Festivals
- Register for the current year's Twins Days Festival
- Fill out the application and include the following documents:
- Academic transcripts
- GPA and record of class size
- 2 letters of recommendation (not from relatives)
- 300 word essay on your experience being a twin
- A brief personal bio and photograph of yourself
- Submit the application in advance of its deadline and ensure your twin has done the same
- Attend the current year's Twins Days Festival
Recipients will be celebrated at the Twins Days Festival and will be profiled in the local newspaper. Applications open April 1st and must be received by the specified deadline; the Twins Days Festival will be held in late summer each year.
