When Frederick R. Strutz passed away in 1970, he left instructions in his will that a scholarship fund be created in memory of his family, which included his late wife Anna and his son Edwin E. Strutz who passed away in 1976. This scholarship is available to any male student graduating from a Saginaw Public School and residing in the Saginaw Public School District. This $4,000 scholarship is payable over four years. Applications run from November 1 until the due date.
To be eligible for the UASCS - Fred R. Strutz Family Memorial Scholarship, applicants must: be a male graduating senior from Saginaw Public Schools; be a resident of the Saginaw Public School District; and be able to demonstrate full-time enrollment. Evaluation criteria includes: Scholastic record; financial need; overall involvement in community, school and work activities. This scholarship is payable over four years.
