We will award one scholarship annually, in the amount of $5,000, to an employee of a USCTI member company or a student nominated by a USCTI member. The scholarship must be put toward a furthering of education in a field of study relevant to the U.S. cutting tool/manufacturing industry from an accredited two-year or four-year institution or program.
Scholarship Details
- One $5,000 scholarship awarded annually
- Open to students or employees of USCTI member companies
- Must pursue education relevant to the cutting tool/manufacturing industry
- Can be used for two-year, four-year, or vocational school programs (including online)
- Selection based on academic performance, essay, and nomination/referral
Eligibility Criteria
- High school seniors entering a qualified program in the fall
- Current students already enrolled in an eligible program
- Employees of USCTI member companies seeking further training
- Must be nominated by a USCTI member company
Application Process
- Secure a nomination from a USCTI member company
- Submit an application including academic records, written essay, and member referral
- The USCTI HR Committee will select three finalists
- Final selection made by the USCTI Board of Directors during the Spring Institute meeting
- The recipient will be notified following the meeting
- Recipient must provide transcripts after each grading cycle to maintain eligibility
A scholarship recipient must remain enrolled and attend classes through the academic year, and receive passing grades. Failure to do so may result in loss of scholarship and a requirement to pay back funds.
