Scholarship Details
- One award of $3,500
- Open to undergraduate students enrolled full-time in Virginia colleges and universities
- Scholarship applications due May 30th
- Awarded based on merit, with preference for involvement in VA AWWA activities
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a full-time undergraduate student in Virginia during the Fall 2025 semester
- Must be a member of the American Water Works Association (AWWA)
- Must demonstrate a career goal of serving in the water industry
Application Process
- Complete the VA AWWA Student Scholarship application form
- Prepare a resume highlighting academic performance, work/research experience, and extracurricular activities (extra credit for VA AWWA committee participation)
- Submit an unofficial or official transcript, or a semester schedule of your current institution
- Write a maximum 500-word essay on a water-related topic (extra consideration given to drinking water topics)
- Ensure your AWWA membership is active and provide proof if required
