Scholarship Description

The Veralene Garrett Memorial Scholarship honors Veralene Garrett’s 25 years of service as a Rape Crisis Counselor for Community Violence Solutions in Contra Costa and Marin counties. This $2,500 annual scholarship supports students pursuing degrees in social sciences who plan to work in public service and help people in crisis.

Scholarship Details

Eligibility Criteria

  3. Provide a copy of your college transcript
  4. Include a summary of school and community activities, awards, and recognitions
  5. If selected as a finalist, participate in a short interview with the scholarship committee
