Scholarship Details
- Awards $1,500 scholarships each year, in addition to other awards
- Selection is based on 40% financial need, 40% academic achievement, and 20% personal statement
- Scholarship funds may be used for tuition, student fees, room and board or textbooks
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant's parent or legal guardian must have a primary residence that receives electricity from one of the 16 electric cooperatives served by the Virginia, Maryland & Delaware Association of Electric Cooperatives (VMDAEC)
- Applicants must be graduating seniors from a high school or homeschool program
- Applicants must be entering their first semester at a post-secondary or trade school in the following fall
