Eligibility Criteria
- Graduating high school senior or current college student
- Either applying as an amateur golfer or pursuing one of the following careers:
- Landscape design
- Golf course architecture
- Golf course turf grass management
- Golf course superintendent
- Professional golf management or club professional
- Sports journalism, golf focus
- Academic excellence; 3.0 GPA for renewal
Application Process
- Collect all supplementary documents, including:
- References and recommendations
- Academic transcripts
- Extracurricular and volunteer record
- Essay about career goals (except for those applying as amateur golfers)
- Competition participation (for those applying as amateur golfers)
- Complete the online application form and submit it by the deadline
- Ensure all supplemental materials are submitted by the deadline, including letters of recommendation
- Maintain academic excellence and re-apply to renew the award each year
