Scholarship Description

The Washington Scholars Program is designed to make a Washington College education accessible to students facing substantial financial need. This program covers full tuition, fees, and provides room and board, aiming to create a transformative college experience beyond financial support.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Open to high-achieving Maryland or Washington D.C. students
  • Applicants must demonstrate dedication to academics and extracurricular activities
  • Nomination required by high school counselors, community leaders, teachers, or admissions counselors
  • All nominated students must reside in Maryland or Washington D.C.

Application Process

  1. Prospective scholars must be nominated by designated individuals.
  2. Nominated students will be invited to campus for an overnight experience, including a scholarship interview.
  3. Application materials, including the application form, admissions essay, counselor recommendation, official transcript, and SAT/ACT scores or test optional form, must be submitted by January 1.
  4. Completion of the FAFSA by February 1 is required.
