Bright Futures is a Weld County, Colorado workforce initiative designed to strengthen the vitality of the Weld County community. By nurturing and supporting the next generation with tuition assistance in the form of money for post-secondary education or training certification, we are building a strong foundation for a stable economy.
Scholarship Details
- Provides up to $14,000 in total funding
- Award may be distributed over up to eight semesters
- Funds can be used for post-secondary education or training certification programs
- Designed to support workforce development and community growth
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a resident of Weld County, Colorado
- Must have graduated from high school, earned a GED, or been honorably discharged from the U.S. Armed Forces
- Must plan to pursue post-secondary education, certification, or workforce training
- Must meet any additional program requirements set by Bright Futures
Application Process
- Confirm eligibility based on residency and educational background.
- Complete the Bright Futures application through the official program website.
- Submit any required documentation, such as proof of residency, transcripts, or program enrollment.
- Ensure all materials are submitted by the applicable deadline.
Understanding the importance of trade and academic skills, the Weld County Board of Commissioners launched Bright Futures in 2015. The goal is to financially assist students who pursue post-secondary education or training and certification programs within the Bright Futures geographic region.
