Two $2,500.00 scholarships will be awarded (one each)to graduating high school seniors or students who are currently enrolled in a post-secondary education program, based upon the following criteria. Scholarship is a one time award provided for the coming academic year.
Scholarship Details
- Two scholarships of $2,500 each
- Non-recurring, one-time award
- Applications must be completed and submitted online at the designated website
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a resident of the state of West Virginia
- Must be a high school senior accepted into a two-year or four-year institution in West Virginia, OR
- Must be a student currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution within West Virginia
Application Process
- Visit the official scholarship website to access the online application
- Complete all required sections of the application form
- Submit proof of West Virginia residency
- Provide acceptance documentation (for high school seniors) or proof of current enrollment (for post-secondary students)
- Submit the application no later than 9:00 p.m. (ET) on October 15th
The announcement of the two chosen recipients will be made on or after October 24th, following the selection process and WV WEA Board approval. Applicants not selected for this year’s scholarship will also be notified at this time.
