The Western Reserve Herb Society offers Plant Science scholarships. These are open to students who have completed the second/sophomore year of undergraduate study and are enrolled in a bachelor’s degree. The applicants for these scholarships must be attending an accredited college or university and have achieved a grade point average of 3.2 or above.
Scholarship Details
- Two (2) Scholarships of $6,000 each for students attending any accredited U.S. college or university
- Applicants must have completed their sophomore year in a bachelor’s degree program
- Must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.2
- Ohio students are automatically considered for both this scholarship and the Frances Sylvia Zverina Scholarship
Eligibility Criteria
- Open to students enrolled in accredited colleges or universities in the United States
- Focused on bachelor’s degree programs within Plant Sciences
- Preference given to applicants with dedication to public or nonprofit work, education, sustainability, or research
Application Process
- Submit two separate essays:
- First essay detailing qualifications and efforts toward educational goals
- Second essay outlining career and personal goals based on academic major
- Attach essays using the "Choose File" buttons in the application form
- Submit one letter of recommendation from an instructor with your name in the subject line
Preference is given to applicants who demonstrate exceptional dedication through outside experiences and whose career goals may involve work in areas such as the public or nonprofit sector, education, sustainability, and research.
