An applicant for the White Rose Scholarship Award must be a Massachusetts resident who is an African American male or female, and who is a high school senior applying for Fall admission into an accredited four-year college/university. Minimum GPA of 3.0 required.

Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a Massachusetts resident
- Must be an African American male or female
- Must be a graduating high school senior
- Must plan to enroll in an accredited four-year college or university for the coming Fall
- Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
Application Process
- Prepare and submit a completed application via email.
- Include a high school transcript showing all completed grading periods.
- Submit two letters of recommendation—one highlighting academic ability and one addressing character and leadership.
- Write and submit a typed essay (maximum 500 words) describing career goals and why you should be selected.
- Ensure recommenders send their letters separately with your name in the subject line.
- Email all materials to the provided address by April 30th.
The Scholarship Committee will notify applicants of a decision by May 30th. If you are selected as an award recipient, you must provide evidence of enrollment in an accredited program of study and pledge to do at least two (2) days of community service work each academic year.
