The Local Change Foundation proudly supports scholarship initiatives for local graduating high school seniors in their pursuit of higher education. Local Change scholarships include consideration of an applicant's financial need. While all may apply, please be aware that priority will go to students with the greatest financial need.
Scholarship Details
- Offered through the Local Change Foundation scholarship initiatives
- Supports graduating high school seniors pursuing higher education
- Named in honor of Wm. C. “Bill” Sterner, Elevations Credit Union President and CEO from 2000 to 2008
- Reflects values of volunteerism, education, and consumer advocacy
- Recipients are selected based on academics, community involvement, and financial need
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a high school senior attending an accredited Colorado high school
- Must be applying for and planning to attend the University of Colorado at Boulder
- Must demonstrate financial need
- Must have a proven record of academic achievement
- Must show community engagement and involvement
Application Process
- Confirm you are a graduating senior at an accredited Colorado high school
- Ensure you have applied to and plan to enroll at the University of Colorado at Boulder
- Complete the scholarship application through the Local Change Foundation
- Provide information demonstrating your academic success, community involvement, and financial need
- Submit all required materials by the scholarship deadline
Applicants will automatically be considered for all scholarships for which they are eligible. Scholarship recipients and their families will be invited to attend a reception in Broomfield on May 5th.
