One scholarship will be awarded annually to a post-baccalaureate, full-time graduate student who is studying, or will study, at an accredited institution in the United States and who wishes to pursue a career in agriculture, horticulture or related fields of study.
Scholarship Details
- One annual fellowship award of $4,000
- For full-time post-baccalaureate graduate study at an accredited U.S. institution
- Preference for candidates showing strong commitment through achievements and work or community involvement
- Fellowship recipient must submit a brief report each semester
- WNF&GA members and their immediate family are not eligible
Eligibility Criteria
- Post-baccalaureate student enrolled full-time in a graduate program
- Field of study in agriculture, horticulture, or a related discipline
- Enrollment at an accredited institution in the United States
- Demonstrated commitment to the chosen career path
- Not a member of WNF&GA and not an immediate family member of a WNF&GA member
Application Process
- Email the complete packet by May 15th to Chairperson Suzanne Smith-Oscilowski
- Include your name, mailing address, email, and phone number
- Provide a statement of objectives and plan of study
- Attach a resume or CV detailing education and work history
- Submit two letters of recommendation
- Attach an official or unofficial academic transcript from your institution’s registrar
- Include thesis papers or professional reports, published or unpublished
The Sarah Bradley Tyson Memorial Fellowship was established in 1928. Mrs. Russell Tyson served as WNF&GA president from 1921-1924. Mr. Russell Tyson provided financial support to honor his wife Sarah’s dedication to women’s agricultural studies.
