The Women-in-Construction College Scholarship is an annual award designed to support and empower the next generation of female leaders in the homebuilding industry. Each year, we award $2,000 to a student pursuing post-secondary education in a construction-related field, helping remove financial barriers and opening doors to high-growth, high-impact careers.

Eligibility Criteria
- Identify as female
- Graduate or resident of one of the Greater Richmond counties
- Accepted into an accredited college, university, or trade school
- Pursuing a construction-related field such as construction management, civil engineering, architecture, carpentry, welding, building sciences, or a related program
Application Process
- Complete the scholarship application form with required personal and academic information
- Submit official or unofficial academic transcripts
- Write and submit a 250 to 500 word essay outlining your career goals in the construction industry
- Provide one or more letters of recommendation from a professor, instructor, or work supervisor
- Submit all application materials by the February 28th deadline
Women currently represent a small percentage of the construction workforce—especially in skilled trades and leadership roles. Scholarship opens on November 30th and closes on February 28th. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
