The Buzzi Scholarship is awarded annually to a high school senior in the Delaware River Basin who demonstrates outstanding achievement, and is pursuing a field of study critical to water resources.
Scholarship Details
- Annual scholarship award of $1,000
- Intended for students pursuing a field of study related to water resources
- Awarded based on academic achievement, community involvement, and interest in environmental issues
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a high school senior residing within the Delaware River Basin watershed
- Must be accepted into an accredited junior college, college, or university for the Fall 2025 semester
- Must demonstrate a strong interest in water resources and environmental issues
- Immediate family members of WRA’s Board of Directors are not eligible
Application Process
- Complete the Buzzi Scholarship Application Form.
- Submit a summary (up to 700 words) outlining academic achievements, career goals, job and volunteer experience related to water resources, and community involvement.
- Provide two letters of reference, preferably from teachers, community leaders, mentors, or counselors.
- Include an official transcript covering grades from the last three years.
- Email application materials as Word or PDF files or mail them to WRA by the deadline.
- The WRA Scholarship Awards Committee will select recipients in April.
