The Washington State Emergency Management Association (WSEMA) is pleased to offer the following scholarships for the coming academic year. Three (3) Scholarships in the amount of $2,250.00 each, will be awarded.
The WSEMA Scholarship Program supports the educational goals of students seeking a Bachelor's degree or program certificate in Emergency Management. Applicants must be enrolled in a field of study focused on Emergency Management. Other Public Safety curricula (i.e. Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, Public Health, etc.) are not eligible.
Eligibility
- Washington State resident
- Enrolled full-time in a baccalaureate or certificate program at an accredited college or university
- Coursework may be in-person, virtual, or a combination
Application
- Fully complete all sections of the application form
- Ensure all required attachments are complete and included
- Sign and date application
Email Submission
Completed applications should be submitted via email, as follows
- Application form and required attachments should be enclosed in a zip file with the following naming convention:
LastName_FirstName_WSEMA2024
- Email Subject Line should read: WSEMA Scholarship Application
- Email body must consist of an appropriate cover letter, addressed to the WSEMA Scholarship Committee
- Emails should be directed to WSEMA Immediate Past-President, Chandra Fox
- As applications are accepted through email, submission email and all required attachments must be received by WSEMA
prior to the end of day (11:59:59 pm PDT) August 1. WSEMA is not responsible for technical issues or delivery
delays associated with disruptions to email services or computer access.
Award recipients will be notified no later than August 31st. Award decisions made by the WSEMA Scholarship Committee are final; and financial awards will be paid directly to the recipient’s school.
