The Wisconsin Space Grant Consortium (WSGC) awards scholarships to outstanding undergraduate students pursuing STEM studies aligned with NASA. Students should demonstrate an interest in space, aerospace, aviation, or other STEM-related fields. Award recipients must participate in the Wisconsin Space Conference and complete required award acceptance materials for official acceptance.
Scholarship Details
- Award amount is $3,000, subject to funding availability
- Supports incoming and current students pursuing undergraduate studies
- A technical advisory panel selects award winners based on academic performance and program-related studies
Eligibility Criteria
- Be enrolled full-time in or admitted or applied to a Wisconsin Space Grant Consortium member college or university
- Have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Applications from students with a GPA below 3.0 may be considered individually
- Pursue a STEM-related program of study aligned with NASA Mission Directorates
Application Process
- Create a NASA STEM Gateway account
- Create a Wisconsin Space Grant Consortium account
- Log in to the WSGC system and complete the scholarship application
- Prepare and submit a two-page statement explaining why you are seeking the scholarship, your past STEM experiences, your current STEM interests linked to NASA Mission Directorates, your planned STEM-related program of study and your interest in pursuing a STEM-related career after graduation
- Submit a high school transcript if you are an incoming freshman. An unofficial transcript is accepted
- Submit your most recent college transcript if applicable. An unofficial transcript is accepted and is not required for incoming freshmen
The WSGC Scholarship provides financial support for undergraduate students preparing for careers in STEM fields connected to NASA's mission areas. Receiving this scholarship also provides an opportunity to participate in the Wisconsin Space Conference and engage with the broader STEM community.
