The You First Foundation is pleased to support families who’ve been adversely affected by traumatic medical events. Each year, we award deserving students with scholarships up to $6,000. Since beginning this program, we've awarded over $352,000 in scholarships.
Scholarship Details

Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a resident of Texas
- High school graduate or GED recipient
- Enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited college, university, or vocational school
- Minimum GPA of 2.7
- Must have been personally or familially affected by a traumatic medical event
Application Process
- Visit the You First Foundation website to access the scholarship application
- Complete the application form with personal and academic information
- Prepare a statement explaining how a traumatic medical event has impacted your life
- Submit two letters of recommendation
- Upload transcripts if currently or previously enrolled in a college, university, or vocational program
- Ensure all materials are submitted by the specified deadline

The foundation’s mission is to improve the lives and educational opportunities of those affected by traumatic medical events.
