The purpose of the Zale Parry Scholarship is to offer financial support to individuals seeking to advance their knowledge or to enter professional careers in ocean exploration and related fields.
Scholarship Details
- $6,000 scholarship award
- $500 travel voucher to attend the Scholarship Presentation Ceremony
- Awarded annually by the Academy of Underwater Arts and Sciences
- Supports academic or field work in undersea exploration, marine conservation, hyperbaric medical research, or diving technology
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a certified diver
- Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate academic program or accredited field work
- Focused on undersea exploration, marine conservation, hyperbaric medical research, or diving equipment technology
Application Process
- Prepare a resume or curriculum vitae
- Write a 500-word essay discussing career goals
- Obtain two letters of recommendation from academic or professional experts
- Include photocopies of your diving certification card(s)
- Provide personal information: full name, address, phone number, email, date/place of birth, gender, and marital status
- Mail all application materials to the postal address specified
- Ensure your application is postmarked by August 31st
