Beyoncé just dropped the news of her new college scholarship initiative, The Formation Scholars program which will award free college scholarships to four females at the following participating schools: Berklee College of Music, Howard University, Parsons School of Design and Spelman College.
The free college scholarship program in 2017 comes just in time for the one-year anniversary of her "Lemonade" album. Incoming, current and graduate students studying creative arts, music, literature or African American studies are eligible to apply. All college scholarship details and application deadlines are available directly from the colleges.
Beyonce's husband, Jay Z also offers free college scholarships through the Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation, to promising individuals who have been accepted into any accredited institution of higher education. High school seniors and college students between the ages of 18-25 who are pursuing studies at a vocational or trade school and have a minimum 2.0 GPA are eligible to apply.
