International Women’s Day takes place every year on March 8, during Women’s History Month. At Scholarships.com, we know that today’s young women can become tomorrow’s leaders – and that for many, going to college is the first big step in their lives as independent adults. To all the young women who are current high schools senior attending college next fall, check out the scholarships below for opportunities that can help you pay for college!

Southern Automotive Womens Forum Scholarship

Award Amount: $5,000
Deadline: March 12, 2021
Scholarship Description: Applicants to the SAWF Scholarship Program must be female high school seniors or graduates enrolling or enrolled in a STEM field at an accredited two-year technical program, four-year undergraduate program, or graduate program hopefully to be used for a career in the automotive industry and at a college or university in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia, have a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA.

Pride Foundation Scholarships

Award Amount: Varies
Deadline: March 13, 2021
Scholarship Description: The Pride Foundation offers scholarships to support LGBTQ+ and allied students living in the Northwest. Students must either be residents of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, or Washington (but may study anywhere) or be attending school in one of those five states. Current college students and those individuals planning to enroll in a program next year are eligible as are current high school seniors.

Young Women in Public Affairs Scholarship

Award Amount: $1,000
Deadline: March 15, 2021
Scholarship Description: Established in 1990 by Past International President Leneen Forde, Zonta has given 971 awards, $1,109,250 to 819 young women from 58 countries. Applicants must be female, aged 16-19 on April 1st each year, studying at a secondary school, college or university in a Zonta district/region, or who are studying elsewhere but are citizens of a Zonta country.

The Women's Empowerment Scholarship

Award Amount: Varies
Deadline: April 1, 2021
Scholarship Description: The Women's Empowerment Scholarship was created to help power the movement of female leaders by inspiring and enabling women to pursue higher education. Overall, scholarship recipients will be those who have proven a commitment to academics, community service and extracurricular activities. Applicants must be females who reside in or plan to attend school in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Vermont, or Maine and are currently enrolled or planning to enroll, as a student of an undergraduate or graduate program.

Calculated Genius STEMINIST Scholarship

Award Amount: $5,000
Deadline: April 16, 2021
Scholarship Description: The Calculated Genius STEMINIST Scholarship Program provides financial support to Chicago metropolitan area women pursuing college degrees in engineering. Applicant must be a female graduating high school student who is majoring in engineering in college, have a minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) and intend on majoring in an engineering discipline in college, and be a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident or have active Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) status in the Chicago metropolitan area.

NVM Scholarships

Award Amount: $1,5000
Deadline: June 1, 2021
Scholarship Description: The National Videogame Museum is offering scholarships to to high school graduates pursuing careers in gaming or technology-based fields. Three of the four are limited to Texas residents but the fourth is open to women across the country. Eligible applicants must be high school seniors, have a 3.0 GPA, and be a US citizen.
