Akron-Canton & Cleveland CSI Scholarship

  • The Akron-Canton and the Cleveland Chapters of the Construction Specification Institute (CSI) are offering two (2)
    one-year $1,040.00 scholarships (one $1,040.00 grant by the Akron-Canton Chapter and one $1,040.00 grant by the
    Cleveland Chapter. The additional $40 is to cover the cost of joining CSI national and the local chapter) for a college
    student who is presently enrolled in an accredited college or university serving the construction industry in the
    northeast Ohio area, and desires to pursue a career in the construction industry. Scholarship recipients are required to become student CSI members, both national and local chapters and must attend at least three Akron-Canton or Cleveland CSI meeting during the school year for which the scholarship is awarded. A thank you note to the scholarship committee will be required before the funds will be transferred. At the option of the scholarship committee, the applicant will be interviewed. The applicant must be willing to become a student CSI member and join the awarding chapter and must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 in a 4 point system. The applicant must have a 1st year standing in a two year program; 2nd or 3rd year standing in a four year program; 2nd, 3rd, or 4th, year standing in a five year program. The applicant must be majoring in an accredited course of study pertaining to the construction industry in Engineering, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Engineering, Construction management, Construction Technology, or Building Systems Design.
