The Shared Energy Future Foundation now offers a range of scholarships to help the next generation of Western States students succeed and innovate in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), as well as other disciplines related to energy. This year, we’ve allocated $20,000 in scholarship awards. Applicants must be incoming, first-year students with a minimum 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
To qualify, you must: Reside in Western U.S. States (Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada or Arizona); Have demonstrated interest in pursuing a career by attending a trade school; Have demonstrated financial need; Have planned enrollment in a trade school in the following fields: Automotive, Carpentry, Commercial/Specialized Driver’s License, Electrical, Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), Welding, Instrumentation & Control Technology, or Machining
Process Technology. Recipients are selected based on consideration of academic performance, participation in school and community activities, a personal statement, and one letter of recommendation from an educator or community leader.
