Educate It Forward ESL Hispanic Heritage Scholarship Award

The Educate It Forward ELL Hispanic Heritage Scholarship Award of $1,000 is presented to an outstanding graduating ELL senior of Hispanic descent whose teachers are able to acknowledge academic commitment, outstanding personal characteristics and involvement in community services. The Educate It Forward ELL Hispanic Heritage Scholarship Award recognizes the challenges that ELL students face and overcome to achieve the biggest life accomplishment: an education.

As former Limited English Proficient students ourselves, we know how difficult it is to not only learn English but to also adjust to a new and perhaps unfamiliar environment and culture. This scholarship gives us the opportunity to serve the Hispanic community hoping that the recipient will one day in the future "pay it forward."
