Graduate students often need funding to conduct special research projects or assistance with tuition and fees; the ISC2 Graduate Scholarship Program helps grad students achieve those goals.
Scholarship Details
- Up to 20 scholarships awarded
- Award amounts range from $1,000 to $5,000
- Funds are sent directly to the educational institution for tuition, fees, books, and required materials
- Awards must be accepted within three weeks of notification and will be disbursed by Dec. 31st of the award year
- Awards are not renewable—recipients must reapply each year
Eligibility Criteria
- Pursuing a degree with a focus on cybersecurity or information assurance
- Open to Master’s or doctoral students with a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale
- Citizenship not restricted; open to students globally
- May be attending full-time or part-time, on campus or online, in the US or internationally
- Must not be currently enrolled but no award disbursed until enrollment in a college or university
Application Process
- Provide unofficial transcripts from the most recent institution; official transcripts required upon award
- Submit one Letter of Recommendation, preferably academic, addressing the applicant's abilities and potential
- Include a Resume/CV, no longer than 3 pages
- Answer essay questions within a 250-word limit per question, focusing on your strengths, need for the scholarship, personal and educational background, major and career goals, contributions to cybersecurity, and any additional relevant information
Not all applicants will receive a scholarship. Scholarships are a one-time award and must be re-applied for each year in order to be considered for another scholarship. No scholarship awards will be paid until July.
