Twelve (12) of the essay finalists will receive BrightStart College Scholarships and be invited with their fathers to attend the IFI Fatherhood Dinner Celebration taking place in June at Union League Club of Chicago. 4 essayists and their dads will also be invited to a future White Sox game and to throw out a pre-game ceremonial 1st pitch.

The "dads" of the essay will receive questionnaires to complete and return. Of those who fill out the questionnaire, 20-25 will be selected and interviewed by phone.
