  • The purpose of the Gail Achterman Leadership Scholarship is to motivate and reward women who demonstrate leadership in the transportation industry, ensuring that the essential leadership, skills and perspective of women are included in planning the transportation systems of the future. Applicants must be currently enrolled in a junior college/trade school program, undergraduate or graduate degree program in a transportation-related field such as transportation engineering, planning, finance, communications, operations or logistics, attending school in Oregon or Southwest Washington, and with a minimum 3.0 GPA. I am a second year university student at Brescia university collage at London Ontario but I am running short of my school fees. I need help to finish my education and hopefully join law school after that. I want to be international lawyer and actually travel the world to help those who have their rights but they dont know them. Most specifically refugees and immigration law.

I would like to win this scholarship to complete my degree. I have one year left, As a mother of two and grandmother of five. I would like to show them that even a I teen mother can complete her goal in life. I have face some many struggle in like but I have not let stop me, I was a child with out a mother , I child with an abusive father and I was a batter wife but all of that and more have not stopped me from reaching my goal.
