There are scholarships for everything on Scholarships.com; for every major, every community and every kind of student. In fact, we even offer a scholarship for students interested in the chicken industry.

The Delmarva Chicken Association offers annual scholarships to students from the Delmarva region – the state of Delaware, plus the eastern shore counties of Maryland and Virginia – who are interested in pursuing a career in the region’s chicken industry. That industry is broader than just raising chickens. According to the DCA website, potential career options in the chicken industry include accountants, electricians, marketers, chemists, nutritionists, computer scientists and mechanics, for example. The scholarship is open to current undergraduates and high school seniors accepted into any accredited college or university in the U.S. Graduate students who are pursing research that directly benefits the DCA are eligible for their own award as well.

That got us thinking about other animal industry scholarships that you can apply for on Scholarships.com. If your career aspirations include working with cattle, fish, sheep or other livestock, then check out these animal science scholarships!

Here at Scholarships.com, we connect students with scholarships that can help alleviate the amount of student loans they need to take out to pay for college. But there are colleges out there that offer students such generous financial aid packages that they need to take out very little in loans if at all. These “no student loans” colleges replace student loans in financial aid packages with additional scholarships and grants to help fund a student’s tuition. Students accepted into these schools will pay much less than the cost of tuition and thus will not be as burdened with student debt.
