  • Scholarship Description
  • HEEF scholarships are based on a combination of low-income family background, academic achievement, and involvement in extracurricular activities, community volunteer work, church service or work-employment. The HEEF Mike Corona Foundation Law Enforcement Scholarships are intended to provide support for graduating Orange County high school seniors or transfer students interested in pursuing a career in any facet of law enforcement. The scholarship may be used for any general educational expense and may be renewed upon a successful re-application process.

    Eligibility:
    -Latino/a who has lived in Orange County (OC), CA for the past six (6) years
    -An OC public or private high school graduate who enrolls full-time at a four-year college or an OC community college transfer who enrolls full-time at a four-year college
    -Dream Act/AB 540 applicants must complete the "applicant financial information" section of the online application
    -First generation college student
    -Family income limit of $45,000
    -Previous HEEF scholars may reapply for selected subfunds

A gun-toting Tennessee college senior showed her support for President Trump and guns while holding her shirt up to reveal her handgun in her graduation photos to "show who [she is] as a person."
