I am an active member in the USAFROTC. What they are not telling you is that if you receive a scholarship from the ROTC itself, you will be immediately contracted long term and not have a choice. If that is what you want and are looking for, fantastic! If not, do not accept the scholarship or apply for it. ROTC grants from your school do not have you long term contracted immediately, but you still can if you want to. I see people being roped into the trap all the time. Just a heads up!

I am very interested in pursuing an Air Force ROTC Scholarship or a U.S Navy ROTC Scholarship because I want to serve my country, obtain a college education, and eventually support my future family.
