  • Scholarship Description
  • Eligibility: Members may apply for funding during their senior year in high school. The applicant must have been active as a duv for a minimum of two (2) consecutive years. The applicant must have and maintain a satisfactory scholastic standing. No more than four (4) duvs scholarships shall be awarded at any National Convention. The scholarship award(s) shall be presented at National Convention, as needed.

    Scholarship: The scholarship will consist of $250.00, as approved annually.

    Application and Evaluation: In addition to the application form, applicants are to provide a transcript of their grades from the last school attended; a report on their extracurricular and volunteer community activities; and a statement of how they expect to use their post-secondary studies in their career. These information sheets will be evaluated on content, organization, grammar, spelling, punctuation and neatness.

Midway through his "It's OK to be White" speech at the University of Connecticut, Conservative commentator Lucian Wintrich was arrested and charged with attempted larceny and disorderly conduct after he grabbed a woman who had swiped his notes off his lectern. The charges have since been dropped and in a reversal, the woman was arrested and charged with attempted larceny and disorderly conduct.
