LGBTQ Scholarships

More and more scholarships are being made available specifically to those in the LGBTQ community and we want to do our part to help you find them. Organizations like the Pride Foundation and the Point Foundation, among many others, have been offering these opportunities for those in the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer communities for years and the number of organizations and awards continues to grow.

CFPCA LGBT Endowed Scholarship

  • Application Deadline: 2/1/2018
  • Amount: $500
  • The CFPCA LGBT Endowed Scholarship provides financial support and hope to meritorious students who demonstrate positive sensitivity to and involvement in LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) issues. First in the Family Humanist Scholarship

  • Application Deadline: 6/10/2017
  • Amount: $1,000
  • Four (4) $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to graduating LAUSD seniors who will be the first in their immediate families to go to college. Levin-Goffe Scholarship Fund

Point Foundation Scholarships

  • Application Deadline: 1/30/2018
  • Amount: $13,600
  • A Point Scholarship covers tuition, books, supplies, room and board, transportation and living expenses, and is set up with the individual college to meet the needs of the Point Scholar. The average scholarship award per scholar is $13,600. The average total program expense that includes scholarship funding, mentoring and leadership training is $34,000 per year per scholar.

The Tang Scholarship
