The Cyntra D. Scott Scholarship

• IMM is proud to offer The Cyntra D. Scott Scholarship, an education-based scholarship for adults living with sickle cell disease. We know that "education" can take many forms. We define it as an activity that furthers one’s knowledge to improve their quality of life and advance their ability to create a sustainable livelihood. This could take the form of a workshop, course, experiential-learning, or degree program. Award amounts range from $250-$1000, and are determined by demonstrated need, availability of funds, number of applicants, and the discretion of the Board of Directors.

  Applicants must have sickle cell disease (verifiable by a doctor), be 26 and older, submit a formal application that will include a detailed explanation of how the applicant will use the money to further their education, sign a consent form, and write an impact statement after a designated period following receipt of the scholarship. This you for giving Sickle Cell patients the options to further themselves education-wise.

I would've loved to apply for this scholarship if the cut off age wasn't 25.
