Katrina M.  on 2/18/2023 10:21:09 PM

Hey there! My name is Katrina Mueller, I’m from a small town called Linn, Missouri. I’m currently a junior high school, that plays volleyball. Inside of school I am involved in FCCLA, FBLA, Trend- SADD ( Students Against Destructive Decisions), and National Honor Society. Outside of school I work at Subway and involved in our local youth group. If you have ever juggled a job and a high school sport you deserve a trophy. Not everyone can maintain their grades by having a job let alone throw a sport on top of all that. Volleyball is my motivation, just like any other sport you have to push to see your success. I feel like when I play volleyball and I see all the practice that I put in do its works, it pushes me to always give 100%, Especially at practice. Practice makes perfection.

Lyndsey D  on 1/30/2023 7:59:52 PM

Hello, my name is Lyndsey Dominguez I am a Junior at Bridge City High School. School can be rough sometimes but I manage to keep all A's. School has always been a big thing to me. It means a lot to me to show my parents that I can be something and have a future. My parents were not raised to be good in school they didn't have the opportunities that I have today. I want to make them happy. I have two older brothers that are going to college too. My parents have spent a lot of money on them. It will be more money if they will have to spend it on me one year from now. Schools are almost over and I want to have many chances and opportunities to help my parents out. Sports have been a big role in my life too. I played volleyball my 8th, 9th grade year until I had tore my ACL. I was completely broken after my doctor had told me, you can't play sports unless you want to ruin your whole knee. I of course didn't listen because, every teenager wants to be that greatest person in sports. I had done track my 10th grade year. During my meet my coach had told me to stretch, while I was stretching I couldn't stretch my leg out too far without it hurting. I was the last race, I wasn't going to tell my coach, only because she would've taken me out. I had begun to ran and, my knee just gives out on me and I completely fell to the ground. I was taken to the hospital, my doctor had told me I tore my ACL for good. My parents had paid for my surgery, and really put damage in their pockets. This will help so much for my parents, knowing that I have gotten my college paid for. Thank you so much for this opportunity and letting me have this chance.

Shyann C  on 1/30/2023 4:40:21 PM

Hello I am Shyann Clark, I am a junior at Blanchard high school I average a 3.9 gpa. I am active in FFA, Track, cross country, softball, national honor society, and I am the secretary of fellowship of Christian athletes. Why I should get this scholarship? The reason I believe I need this scholarship is my parents will do anything they can to support me they will be at my game’s practices and everything they can but what they can’t support me in is financially. I want to go to college for softball and be the first one in my family to graduate from college and to prove to future generations of my family that any can graduate from college no matter where you come from. With me being a junior in high school I have time but truthfully I do not money wise I am hoping to get a scholarship for softball and academics while taking a college classes to hoping to help me out later on. This is why I feel like I should be chosen for this scholarship.

Dayzirea L  on 1/27/2023 12:27:06 PM

I play volleyball, basketball, and softball. I made varsity as a Freshman for volleyball and softball. Due to an ACL tear my Sophmore year during basketball season I wasn't able to play my Sophmore year of softball and most of my Junior year of volleyball. During basketball season my junior year I tore my acl again but the other leg. So I was out my junior year of softball and beginning of my senior year for volleyball. I finish volleyball season and went to softball season where I was able to tear my acl and menicus again for the 3rd time. I just recently had surgery on my knee. Im really wanting this scholarship because it would really help me out.

Alexis S  on 1/24/2023 2:02:55 PM

Hello! My name is Alexis Slone. I am a senior at Lincoln county high school in Stanford Ky. I am in track and cross country. I have been doing both of those sports for about 10 years. Your probably wondering why those two sports. I don’t know I’f you would believe me or not but running is something that any one can, whether you are on a team or not. This sport has brought me so many amazing opportunities like going to state for 6 years in a row and being on the area 8 team for 2 years. It’s crazy to say that we all need to do a little bit of running in our life because it helps build our stamina and endurance. I’ve always been told you can do anything that you put your mind to. You don’t have to be the best runner out there. If you can run at least 1 mile, you are runner, if you can run 30 miles you are a runner. You have to dig down deep and say “ I can do this “!! No matter how hard running can be. Anyone can be runner, you just have to believe in yourself! I know when I first started, which was in the 3rd grade. I wasn’t sure if running was going to be the right sport for me, but I tried it anyways. And all the years after that, I have gotten so many opportunities and I don’t regret any of it!!

Jeison G  on 1/20/2023 9:37:03 AM

Hello! My name is Jeison Galdamez Solis. I am a junior this year at Sumner-eddyvile-miller high school, Sumner NE. Now, I'm not going to lie... Daisy J  on 1/18/2023 10:03:44 AM

Hello! My name is Daisy Johnson. I am a Junior this year at Hobart High School in Hobart, IN. Now, I won't lie...sports haven't always been my thing. Growing up, I was always looked at as "different". At the age of 14 years old, I had weighed almost 210 lbs. This was something I was always made fun of for, but my lack of knowledge on how to live a healthy lifestyle was holding me back. During COVID, my family and I started a diet plan called Jenny Craig. This was the first attempt I had ever made to lose weight, and when I saw the results I was shocked! I completed the entire diet plan with almost 0 cheat days. Obviously, during this time I gained a lot more confidence. Coming back to school the next year was such a completely different experience than any of my other years in school. Anyway, one day I was talking to my friend and she had convinced me to start going to Basketball workouts. Mind you, I had never played Basketball in my life. Honestly, at that point, as a Sophomore in High School I had only ever played one other sport in my entire life. As I continue to play to this day, I realize that this sport has taught me more than I could have ever imagined. With this being said, this scholarship would help me pursue my dreams of teaching people (young and old) about the connection between a healthy lifestyle and a healthy mind.

Anica H  on 1/18/2023 9:39:13 AM

Hello! I'm Anica Hall, and I live in Fort Wayne, Indiana. For my sport, I participate in eSports. I've gotten a lot of people saying that it's not a real sport, but I believe it is, and here is why. eSports requires teamwork, communication, and quick thinking. It brings people closer together and builds trust between teammates. I have played competitively for 3 years now, and I trust my teammates completely, in game or out. I'm apply for this scholarship because I want to continue my passion in college, also earning a Sports Management degree.

My name is Madyson Tivis. I am a junior at Century High School and I swim. Our team got third at state this year, after winning the last 7 years, and going into next season we are ready. I recently got voted team captain by my teammates. I am a leader and I want to show it. I want to swim D1 in college and this fund will help with that. My education is important to me and this scholarship will help me as I continue my academic career.

Niko P  on 12/2/2022 12:11:16 PM

As I decide what pair of shoes to pack with me as I go off to college It’s sobering to think I will outgrow any pair I pack. Each pair of shoes served a purpose that moment in time and has taught me great skills and characteristics along the way. I’ve realized It really doesn’t matter what pair makes its way into my suitcase because I know I can stand on my own two feet and the road can always be walked barefooted. This is why I applied to this scholarship. I'm hoping to secure enough funds as I set off to accomplish my next goal of furthering my education.

Elleka B  on 11/16/2022 10:27:41 PM

Hi! My name is Elleka Boeres. I currently attend Walnut Hills High School in Cincinnati, Ohio with a 4.83 GPA. I will graduate in the spring of 2023 and have committed to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign for my sport of diving. In perusing my plan of majoring in behavior neuroscience for autism and diving as a collegiate athlete, the University of Illinois provides both necessities through their nationally ranked psychology and research opportunities, autism clinic, and overwhelmingly-loving swim/dive team. I have been team captain for my high school team for two years and I am currently the selected captain by both the coaches and teammates for my year-round club team. I thrive off of the love, structure, and competitiveness of being an athlete, specifically for a sport that is not widely known. I am apart of three school clubs (Community Action Team, German Club, and Modern Abolitionist Movement for Human/Sex Trafficking Club), work at the Cincinnati Sports Club (in the summer) and volunteer as a coach for local summer club dive teams, and was nominated out of my 496 graduating class to work at my schools writing center. Believe it or not, I actually do have a life. I enjoy hammocking with my friends at our local parks, playing in the snow with my dog, and watching cheesy Netflix movies with my family. I told myself, when starting this college journey, that regardless of the money, I will go to a university that best provides the opportunities to accomplish my personal goals. I am ready to take part in a college that expands my comfort zone and swim with the sharks as a B1G athlete. I am willing to sacrifice the cost of in-state tuition for attending a college that will not only support my future career interests, but will also leave me with a group of lifetime friends.

DeShawn L  on 11/16/2022 10:13:00 AM

I've been volunteer in all sports activities during my 4 years in High School. I setup, run the books and scoreboards and clean up afterwards. I also travel with the teams for flag football, volleyball, basketball, track for boys and girls from elementary to high school. I am very responsible for the volunteer work that I do for my school. I am a team leader. My senior year I'm a Jubilee-Leader President. I recruiter students to be part of the leadership. I also travel the Jubilee school to assist on recruitment.

Emma H  on 11/12/2022 10:32:38 AM

I am applying because Running has been my best guide through life but it took a while to reveal itself. I started in a very small team where I was my own competition, without a partner to train with because I was too fast. What kept me going was my family, they knew how much potential I had. No matter how many times they told me I was good at it, I wasn't pursuing it for myself. Then came highschool, I entered the track team and finally found myself loving the sport a little more only because there was one girl faster than me. Eventually that girl graduated and the reality of training alone again brought me to my downfall. It slowly began to take control of my mind, keeping me away from what was ahead of me. The phrase “I can’t do it” was my favorite thing to say. Every time it came out of my mouth it became more attached to me. Two years later is when I finally accepted that I had everything I needed to challenge myself and stopped looking for things around me. That decision is what pushed me to place second in the state of Florida. Crossing the finish line reminiscing on the challenges and lessons learned. I wasn’t just crossing the finish line, I was leaving those mental barriers that had kept me from enjoying the journey as much as the destination.

TANAIYA S  on 11/9/2022 11:00:19 PM

Yes I applied for this scholarship because I am a very hardworking student and I put my best foot forward in every thing I do I'm very respectful and I'm a team player..I started running track at the age of 6,I won the City Champion ship at Atwell Middle school in the 100 meter Dash and I went in to David W.Carter High school and made Varsity my freshman year..My 10th grade year I made it to State we place 2nd in the 4by1 meter Relays and my 11th grade year I won State in the 4by2 meter relay meaning we Got the Gold first place..Now I'm a senior and I am Captain of the Carter girl track team for the second time and I plan to continue to be a leader and a great role model for my younger team mates. It has been really challenging all of these year's but with the Grace of God and hard work I'm still pushing and striving to be the best that I can be Academically and Physically on the Track ..Being a Captain has showed me alot and I have learned how to be the bigger person about alot of things and lead our team to victory and that hard work pays off.I will continue to apply myself in the class room and on the track ..Thanks for giving me the opportunity to even be considered Im so greatful

Savannah S  on 11/3/2022 1:14:37 PM

I am applying for this scholarship because I have been an athlete my entire life. While sports have always been a big part of my life, academics area as well. Being a student athlete is a lot tougher than most people think. There is constant pressure to do your best and provide for other people. I was team co-captain of my club volleyball team for two years in a row. I learned quickly what it meant to be a leader and team player at the same time. There is a sense of responsibility that you take on when being a part of a team. It is difficult for anyone to handle mentally, physically, and emotionally. Being a captain makes someone a more confident person. You realize people rely on you and trust you as a leader. In school, I would usually be the student to sit in the back and learn on my own. I didn't talk to many people. Once I became a co-leader of a team, it made me realize that speaking up is ok. People want to hear from you, being bold is inspirational for other people. Be a leader on the court, field, in the rink, and in the classroom are so important. Academics and athletics need to happen together to be successful.

Angela L  on 11/3/2022 9:08:58 AM

My application for this scholarship is for the reason that sports has been become a big part of my life. This sport has taught me discipline and accountability. As an Asian female wrestler, I have been the only girl from throughout middle school and high school competing in this dominant male sport. I have constantly been through rough patches with discriminating adults and teammates who had always put me down because of who I am on the outside. But every setback has a comeback. I became team captain in my freshman year, and for my last year in high school as a senior, (2022-2023), I am now the girl's varsity captain. I want to be able to continue to prove them all wrong; that girls are strong too; that girls are capable. Now that I am able to lead a team, I know that I am not alone. With this scholarship, I can continue to represent girls throughout the community as I make my way to college.

Morgan M  on 9/29/2022 10:19:08 AM

I am applying for this scholarship because growing up playing sports has taught me a great deal of things throughout my life. I have always struggled with confidence growing up, but sports have really helped increase my confidence. Throughout my whole life I've played softball, with that being a sport that more errors occur than successes, obviously that took a great toll on my confidence. I have always been very hard on myself and I expect the best of the best, but in softball that is nearly impossible. Once I got into middle school I also picked up on volleyball and I instantly fell in love. Volleyball has become something I am very passionate about, it has given me the confidence I was missing in softball and I enjoy playing it more than anything. Both sports have allowed me to form new bonds, develop new skills, and taught me leadership skills. I feel that being a student-athlete definitely has its flaws, but overall has made me a better person. Sports have required me to always do good in school, even as I take AP, dual, and honors classes. Sports have also given me a way to escape everything else going on in my life, it lets me get away and just be myself as a person and as an athlete. I am very thankful to have the opportunities that sports have given me. They have allowed me to grow as not only an athlete, but as a student and a person.

Brooklynne S  on 9/21/2022 6:18:49 PM

I am applying for this scholarship because playing a sport has made such an impact on my mental health. As someone who struggles with bipolar disorder running track has been an outlet for me mentally and has helped me in times of depression. After overcoming a trip to the mental hospital, I got right back into being my normal self when I continued running track and field because of the positive people around me and the drive to better myself through the sport. I was the leading point scorer on the girls team my junior year and look forward to running again when the season starts up again in the winter. Being on the team has given me something to strive for and better myself with, even after going through tough times. My current gpa is a 3.5, and I am enrolled in AP courses this fall. I love the opportunities track has provided me mentally and physically.

Former 3x WBO Professional Boxing World Champion  on 9/20/2022 12:54:12 AM

Now a mother, wife, business owner, I have been back in school since 2018. Immediately after retirement. Working towards my DNP license, any help would mean the world. Current PTK Honors society with high academics. I can only pray.

Claire S  on 7/2/2022 11:35:13 PM

This scholarship would mean so much to me because I am looking to obtain as much funding for college as possible so I’m not too much in debt when I finish. As a student athlete I value hard work and I put my all into everything I do. I play girls Varsity Lacrosse and since my sophomore year I have been a starter. I would love to continue playing Lacrosse in college. My GPA is a 3.973 and I am currently enrolled in a majority of AP and honors classes. I will be going into my Junior year this upcoming year so I plan to grow and work even harder in years to come. Thank you for this opportunity!

Rhianna R  on 6/16/2022 1:00:32 PM

My application for this scholarship is because sports has been the one constant in my life. Volleyball, has been an outlet that helped shape my work ethic, communication with others, motivation, and who I am as a student athlete today. Furthermore, continuing both my academic and athletics in college is a dream. Growing up I was on swim team, danced, and was apart of Brazilian jujutsu. My parents would take me to go volunteer at different places such as making food for the homeless, donating clothes, etc. Volleyball, I did not start until 5th grade, but now going into my junior year of high school it has helped me shape my life. Being on a team helped me excel in academics even more from learning how to work with others, be a leader, being part of a team, and so much more. There is no matter of words that can express what sports has helped me achieve in my life, and I hope to continue working hard for both volleyball and my academics. I want to be able to tell my past self that hard work it worth it, and that dreams are achievable for those who are leaders, help others, and bring an attitude that is worth being in a team and classroom.

Melissa R  on 6/2/2022 2:37:01 PM

hello, my name is melissa I want to apply for this scholarship because I believe I am a perfect applicant for this. My GPA used to be a 3.0 my freshmen year but the terrible staff that had helped me caused it to drop which is making me suffer now. I was forced to get out of early college and now I'm trying to gather every penny I can to make it into college. I have played soccer, volleyball, track, basketball, and cheer. I'm currently in softball and I've been playing since I was 13. I have struggled in school but I promise I have never given up because I know all hard work late nights and tears eventually pay off.

Cedrick D  on 2/16/2022 11:11:34 AM

I am applying for a scholarship because this scholarship will give me the best opportunity to further my career not only in sports but academically as well. Since I was young all I ever wanted to do was play Football at the next level and receive a next-level education I've been doing everything and anything I can possibly do to achieve my goals and aspiration.

maria p  on 12/8/2021 12:08:33 PM

I have always enjoyed being a swimmer and worked very hard to become a varsity swim captain this year to set an example to our freshmen in both hard work and commitment to accelerate and improve as you grow. My passion is Neuroscience and being financially capable to go through a college of my choice and conduct Neuroscience research on the impact of Social Media on the child development. I would love to make a positive change in improving well being and learning patterns of young adults of different abilities. As a math tutor and Director of Student PALS club of kids with special needs, I know how hard it is, at times, to get the results you want and would love to make every possible effort to help kids in making learning process more enjoyable and successful.

I am applying for this scholarship because not only will it give me the opportunity to further my athletic career in softball but also help me pay for an education. I have been playing softball since I was 7, as I kept playing and growing I learned to love the sport in every aspect mentally and physically. Growing up with dyslexia was very challenging but playing sports has given me the confidence to always give 110% in everything including school I am now a highschool senior with a 4.16 gpa. I plan to study kinesiology and exercise science in hopes of becoming a strength and conditioning coach. Sports has taught me the importance of teamwork, leadership, discipline and so much more which has carried over to my school work without the opportunities I received I would be a completely different person. Thank you for this opportunity

Alyssa T  on 2/1/2021 9:35:20 AM

Much of my childhood was spent in a bowling alley watching my dad bowl league every week. Joining a Saturday morning youth bowling league became a way to bond with my dad and make some new friends. Growing up I took part in many sports and activities such as; volunteering, 4-H, Soccer, basketball, softball, volleyball, cheerleading and Bowling. Bowling and cheerleading has given and taught me so much more than I ever expected. I have learned it takes patience with myself to learn and improve. Sportsmanship by having friends to encourage each other and staying positive even when the team is not doing it’s best. I have developed better socializing skills in league and traveling for tournaments or games have allowed me to meet some amazing people. Sleeping in on Saturday morning or having relaxing nights would be so much easier but I made a commitment which I have learned is a big responsibility. I have found confidence in myself by working hard and improving my skill seeing the results each time my average increases in bowling, or in cheer my jumps get higher and my moves sharper or we hit a new stunt the first night or I hit every count during a routine. Most importantly youth bowling and Cheerleading has brought me a new family and life-long friends.

I am applying for 2021 Fall college sports scholarship. I have been involved in sports since i've been 2 1/2 years old. From competitive ice skating to national volleyball, I have became a big component of playing volleyball. I am a senior, graduating in 2021. I am going to The University Of South Alabama and it would help so much with my sports at south, and helping me excel in academics there. My parents are divorced so my mom needs as much help as she can get to help me go to college to pursue medical school, and become a cardiologist. This scholarship is an amazing opportunity to excel, and make my dreams come true.

Mark P  on 1/28/2021 4:32:14 PM

I am applying for this scholarship because I love sports. I never played for a club. I was never trained by anyone growing up.. all of my progress has been by my hard work, and I don't even know the rules, positions, pro players, etc. I don't play every day... but I REALLY LOVE football(Soccer).....I guess you can say that all of my life I have been playing street football(Soccer). I play for my high school team, but we aren't that good. Ever since my freshman year, I've been co-captain of the team. I am the best player in my high school, but that's because there are few players. I was always complimented by how I would play....my coach brought some of the best players he knows and they asked if I was part of a club or if I had a separate coach because I was just that good( their words, not mine). I tried to do a football tournament that's run by Pepsi because I thought I had a chance, however; I started to doubt myself and I still do.....I get nervous and because I didn't know anyone there I was even more off my game.....I ended up failing and I didn't fully show what I was capable of. I still love football and I believe I have the potential to be great (I am also a straight-A student, so I think I can be great for any college or club). Any advice???????? I would appreciate it. Thank you for allowing me to take part in this great opportunity.

I am appplying for this scholarship to help make my dream of participating in college athletics come true. I am a multi-sport athlete who played soccer, volleyball, track and soccer. Since I could walk, I watched my mom coach soccer and taught me the love of watching the USA Women's National Team. My passion is soccer, and I want to continue this love as I choose a college. I have prepared academically as well and feel I have learned a lot about time management while participating in many activities. I am hoping to attend college and play a sport without a large financial burden to weigh me down.

Javier C  on 1/17/2021 10:35:58 PM

I am applying for this scholarship because I have always aspired to play college soccer and with the end of my senior year coming closer and closer, the money is being tight and isn't looking good for me to play. I am a consistent A and B student with a 3.4 gpa and am inspired to be study and play and continue on withe everything I want.

Christian Ballard  on 1/16/2021 8:04:27 PM

Hello! My name is Christian Ballard. I am a senior at Jackson Central Merry Early College High School. I am slated to graduate in May with my high school diploma as well as an Associate’s degree from Jackson State Community College. I have applied to several universities and have been accepted to many. I have not decided which institution I will attend; however, I am trying to obtain as much funding as possible. I have played sports almost my entire life. From little league, AAU, and all throughout my school years to the present. I have played football and ran cross-country, but my primary sport is basketball. I have given many recognitions for basketball. Most recently, I was recognized as one of the Top 21 basketball players in the state of Tennessee. I am very interested in applying for this scholarship opportunity. I would be grateful for the opportunity to apply and to be considered. Your investment in my future would be most appreciative and a great contribution to an aspiring future engineer. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Sincerely, Christian Ballard

This scholarship will mean so much to me as a student athlete. I currently go to one of the most academically competitive schools in my county (Cambridge) where I am succeeding and looking to graduate with my AA in Criminal Justice while still being in high school. While maintaining a 3.5 GPA (unweighted) and 4.7(weighted)GPA, I start on the varsity football team at South Dade Senior, who has been running their district for the last 7+ years coming off a State Championship in 2013. Working hard on the field is one thing but being able to work hard both on and off the field is an entirely different level of tough. I can do tough!

I am applying for this scholarship because I had always had a dream to be a doctor since the moment I would play as one. Now the only thing stopping me from pursuing this is money. In my four years in high school, I had a 4.0 and I played soccer. This scholarship would help me climb the obstacle and make my dream come true.

Breyana B  on 1/8/2021 7:25:08 PM

I have chosen this scholarship because I want to pursue basketball all throughout college/university. I have been playing football since my freshmen year of high school and it's become a part of who I am. Sports have taught me the importance of teamwork, discipline, fitness, and humility. It has also taught me new skills, that I will carry on into adulthood. I am a senior, currently attending East Canton High school, with a GPA of 3.8. I also seek a career in English Education (4-9). I am determined to do anything and everything in my power to make my goals come to life. Thank you for this opportunity to apply for this scholarship.

Wrehdi Juwle  on 1/7/2021 6:26:27 PM

My whole life I have been a hard working scholar-athlete I have played four different sports and excel. basketball, cheerleading, dance, track and field but I found my passion in track and field I've never ran one race where I never broke a record, took a top place spot, or received a medal. Everything I do I make sure I do it at my best weather it be at school, work, or track. I need this scholarship more than anything because my dream is to attend a four year university and graduate as a pediatric nurse practitioner. I know there is a lot of student- athletes who are applying for this scholarship but what makes me different is I'm probably the only one who has something to prove being that I want to be the first student athlete in my family who never starts college and dosen't finish right away I want to make my family proud and I want the world to know my name that's why I need this scholarship. My name is Wrehdi Juwle and my GPA weighted is a 3.7 and unweighted is a 4.03. Thank you so much for this opportunity and God bless you all.

I am applying to this scholarship because I have been an athlete my entire life. There has never been a time that I wasn't playing a sport. Whether it be bowling or softball, I play all year round. As of right now I am going to be pursuing bowling at a D1college but I also have some softball offers as well. I have maintained at least a 3.7 GPA although high school. This scholarship will allow me to not worry about so much student debt as I am going to school to be a Family Nurse Practitioner. Thank you for your consideration.

Jentri M  on 1/6/2021 7:55:58 PM

I am applying for the 2021 fall scholarship because I want to pursue my dream career in dental hygiene. Money isn't something big in my family so therefore I am trying everything in my power for them to not have to come out of pocket for my college affairs.

Jacob S  on 1/6/2021 7:29:59 PM

Going to college would be a huge accomplishment not only for me but for my entire family. I would be the first in my family to not only attend college but to graduate. Working hard throughout my high school years has been my mission to make sure that I have the best grades and test scores to get me into college. My dream is to study Pre-Physical Therapy to help people in need. I played sports all my life and know how Physical Therapy can help players. If I am awarded this scholarship I pledge to make sure that I do the best I can to keep up the grades and graduate. Thank you for your consideration. Jacob Sharp

I am applying for this scholarship as swimming and martial arts are a part of me. I have been in martial arts since I was seven-years-old at Ben Kiker's United Karate Studios. I have my black belt and plan to peruse a fifth or sixth degree blackbelt. I have been swimming for my high school for the past two years and I enjoy it and wish to do continue swimming after high school. These sports make me happy and the feeling of accomplishment that I get from dropping time in swimming or competing at a tournament is overwhelmingly joyous for me.

Logan S  on 1/6/2021 8:23:28 AM

I am a senior at South View High School with a gpa of 3.82. I am applying for this scholarship because I have been in some type of sport since I was 4 years old. I have always felt more at home on a field than I have at my actual home, probably due to me almost never being at home. Soccer is one of the only things that can pull me out of rough times in a matter of minutes playing. Soccer has taught me that the greatest feeling in sports isn't knowing that you're the best on the team or to know that you're improving, it's seeing you're team grow with you not only as players but as people nd family. My junior season was cut extremely short due to me suffering a knee injury and it was one of the hardest things I've ever had to deal with. I have recovered and I am playing at the same level as I was when I got hurt and I show no sign of stopping my progress. I refuse to be happy at the level I play at and constantly look to improve myself and those around me. I plan on becoming a military pilot and I intend on attending Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and the tuition is extremely expensive. This scholarship will be extremely helpful and will help my academic future. Thank you for providing the opportunity to apply for this scholarship.

ZuZu S  on 1/5/2021 10:55:13 PM

I am applying for this scholarship to honor my dad. He loved watching me play softball and wanted me to further my education to become successful in life. Since he recently passed, I feel it’s my responsibility to better myself. With this scholarship I will obtain a bachelors degree in Forensic Science, to in the future get a job in crime scene investigation. I want to be able to bring closure and comfort to families who have lost a loved one like I have. Thank you so much for this opportunity.

I am applying for this scholarship, first and foremost because I love Footlocker and have been shopping there since I can remember. I have been playing sports since I was 6, and what better place to buy all my sports clothes and shoes. I currently am a senior at Friendswood High School in Friendswood Texas and will be continuing my education at a 4-year college. I am a 4.0 student in all advanced classes and play on the Varsity girls basketball team. I am the president of Best Friends Club and the Spanish Club, I volunteer lots of time tutoring other students. I will become a nurse practitioner and continue to reside in Texas. This scholarship will help me pursue my dreams and I greatly appreciate the opportunity. Rakel Hutchinson

I am applying for this scholarship because I want to have the opportunity to play football in college. My goal is to be a humble and a better person and I have a 3.85 GPA.

I am applying for this scholarship as a current junior in college because softball has and always will be a huge part of who I am today. Softball and teaching are my passions in life. I have learned personal and life lessons through the sport of softball as it helps me become an innovative and good teacher. I have a 3.7 GPA. However, college softball is looking a bit impossible due a parent losing their job in December of 2020 and my other parent needed back surgery in September of 2020. I want to support my family financially in the best way possible because they have always supported me in softball and encouraged me to pursue my passions.

Patricia R  on 1/4/2021 12:38:14 PM

I am applying for this scholarship because swimming has been a part of my life for god knows how long. It helped me teach myself the coping mechanisms for when you have failures and setbacks. It helped me learn that you have to work hard for the things you want. Accomplishing goals will always require giving all you got. I'm in 12th grade with a 3.6 GPA. This scholarship will be beneficial for my future of becoming an assistant physical therapist. This would help my family and I with the tuition expenses. Thank you for this opportunity you have given every athlete here applying for this scholarship.

Hannah C  on 1/3/2021 8:54:16 PM

I have chosen to apply for this scholarship to have the opportunity to further my education as a physician to help others. Footlocker has been the only place my mom has ever bought her sneakers from. My grandfather always said you must have great shoes because if you don't, you can't work long on your feet. My passion for helping others in the medical field as a doctor drives me to continue my education and continue to help all walks of life. Being a student athlete will allow me to encounter only the best cleats for sports and the best sneakers for running and training. Thank you for the opportunity and I plan to give back to my community if I am honored to win.

Kyle S  on 1/2/2021 3:00:59 PM

I am applying for this scholarship because soccer has been an important part of my life. I started playing soccer in the 9th grade for my high school team. I played recreational soccer from 1st grade until 8th grade. I had to work much harder than my team for playing time because I had lacked experience. I joined Soccer Domain Football Club (SDFC) in 9th grade and played for Bloomfield Soccer Club (BSC) from 10th grade until 12th. I also ran outdoor track during my four years of high school and indoor from 10th to 12th grade. At the end of 9th grade, I suffered from a collapsed lung. I went through almost a month of being hospitalized and could not play sports for three months. Soccer helped me recover from that once I was cleared and made me much healthier once again. Having gone through two surgeries on my lung still affects me to this day, but I have learned to fight through the pain. My family would really appreciate this scholarship because of how expensive tuition can be. Thank you for this opportunity and your consideration.

I am applying for the 2021 fall college scholarship. I am a senior at Lewisburg High School in Olive Branch, MS. I have been a student athlete my whole academic career and hope to continue to be such in college. I have always placed myself in the most challenging academic and athletic arenas. This desire to reach and exceed personal goals is internal. Sports has been an excellent and consistent physical and mental outlet for me. I am captain of both our varsity football and soccer teams and serve on the student council executive board. My ACT is a 35 and my GPA is 4.25 and I am enrolled in majority advanced placement classes. It is my love for sports and involvement in athletic competition that has brought me balance and unadulterated joy. I am excited about this scholarship as it rewards the pursuit of personal greatness through the lessons that are unique to sports.

I will be applying for this scholarship for a number of reasons. The first being that I come from a family of nine so funds are tight and I need the financial support. The second being I have played soccer since I was three years old. I wasn’t to continue to play at a competitive level and I have been given the opportunity by many coaches. I do not have the money to attend with out the help of outside scholarships so getting this would be a great blessing for my family and I.

Hello, my name is Shaneka Cobb. I am a senior at Eton Academy. My GPA is a 3.5 and the sport I play is basketball. Ive been playing basketball since the 7th grade. At first i didn't think it would be a sport that i would fall in love with. When i first started playing i knew that this was my sport until I graduate. When we had the first practice its like the skills came naturally to me. I was shooting 3’s, layups were good my follow through when i was shooting was good. When i was in the 7th and 8th grade the varsity coach asked me to play in some of their games. I was really nervous because i knew how competitive varsity basketball than jv. Was ready regardless whenever i laced up my shoes and put on my jersey i was ready to play my hear out. When i was an 8th grader i won MVP for basketball 9th grade i won Team Leader and Hustle Award. Getting these awards and playing on both teams at such a lower grade and then switching to varsity fully durning my 9th-12th grade year was really great. I love playing basketball and hopefully some day i can share my skills with a university team some day .

I will be applying to this scholarship because I have always played a sport, throughout my life my parents have always encouraged me to join sports and it has changed my life. The amount of life lessons and benefits all my sports teams I've ever been in have given me are endless. My coaches, teammates and mistakes have made me who I am today and I'm eternally grateful for it all. I currently attend an early college and will be graduating with not only my high school diploma but also with my associates degree of science. I have maintained a 3.7 GPA on a 4.0 scale for high school while also managing my college classes throughout my four years if high school. I have played volleyball, softball, and was cross country while in high school and I am very interested in playing in college as well. I think it will be an interesting and beneficial experience to be able to play in college while still completing my college courses. My goal in life is to become a chiropractor and if I could also play a sport that I love so dearly as well as achieve my dream career it would be spectacular. Not only will I be living one of my dreams but it would take a huge burden off my parents shoulders. I'm so grateful for this opportunity thank you.

Kasten H  on 12/2/2020 9:22:58 AM

Hey there, my name is Kasten Harvey, and for some odd reason, this website will not allow me to apply for this scholarship... This scholarship would help me pay my way through college and get me the education I need to have to be successful. With the education that I have, it will help me get a good job at a hospital so that I can take care of people and help them with what they need. It would really mean a lot to me if I got this scholarship too because it would also help with the fact that I might not play sports in college. I have been playing sports all my life, baseball, basketball, and even football. Playing three Varsity sports and going through school with a 3.88 isn´t the easiest thing. And even with COVID ruining everything too, canceling my season and my chance at playing ball in college. This scholarship would just mean a lot to me and my family.

Keagan M  on 12/1/2020 6:13:16 PM

I am applying for this scholarship because I have been playing baseball for the past 12 years of my life. Along the way, I have played soccer, basketball, and wrestling. I have stuck with baseball through high school and have been a starting varsity athlete. I will also be continuing my baseball career at Wayne State College. While playing baseball I have maintained a 3.9 GPA while taking all college prep classes. This scholarship would extremely help my family and I.

Adriana R  on 12/1/2020 2:22:01 PM

I am applying to this scholarship because of sports it has made me who i am today inside the field and court and as well as outside of it, i will be the first person in my family to graduate high school and attend college. I have never been able to participate in any sort of soccer club because it was to expensive for me and my family, yet i have been team captain 3 years in a row at my school. Being able to win this scholarship would open so many doors for me that would help me financially and get the education i need so i can later in the future have money to put back in my community and help others financially like this scholarship would help me.

I have decided to apply for this scholarship due to the fact that I have been playing soccer for over twelve years of my life! I began my high school career with a 3.0 GPA and have progressed up to a 3.8 GPA in the most recent academic year, adding up to about a 3.5 cumulative GPA throughout high school. An enormous goal of mine is to play collegiate soccer and this scholarship would be influential for my family’s ability to afford the excessive University costs!

Marlie D  on 11/22/2020 8:44:02 PM

I have maintained a high GPA throughout my high school period and played sports every quarter to represent my school and be part of a team. I have been blessed to go to schools where I had the opportunity to play sports and excel academically. I am focused on a career in healthcare as a Physician Assistant. This scholarship would help me reach my goals and I hope to play sports in my college years.

This scholarship sounds like a great opportunity, and i'm needing financial help for collage. This scholarship would be perfect for a lot of people if they meet the requirements, and if it wasn't so limited. If you're one to get this scholarship, you'd be extremely lucky.

im a female athlete. I played all different types of sports growing up as a kid, I've always been very competitive and a strong minded person. Im applying for this scholarship for an opportunity to go places in life. As a female, playing soccer in a small town you don't get much opportunities. I just hope that you could look into it and just offer me a chance.

Sydney F  on 11/17/2020 11:44:53 AM

Why I am applying for this scholarships is because it will give me an opportunity to possibly play for a team and be able to play the sport I have grown to love. I am a middle class student that has worked hard in and out of school and I have a 3.3 GPA as of now. I have always seen soccer as a stress reliever for me. I always look out to soccer whenever I am stressed and I enjoy practicing and playing. I have get excited when I think about playing and never want to miss a practice or a chance to get to play with the ball. Being able to receive this scholarship would help my parents with paying for school but also continue to play at the next level. I do not want or wish to stop playing after my senior year.I am determined to playing soccer whether it is competitively in college or on a rec team. I just want to play and that is all I've hoped and wanted.

I am applying for this scholarship because sports are and always have been a huge part of my life. I have been playing sports since I was 4 years old. Volleyball has developed into my favorite sport and I not only play for my high school, but for a club team as well. I have maintained a 3.75 GPA and want the opportunity to continue my volleyball career. If I was able to get this scholarship, my parents would be more lenient towards allowing me to pursue my dreams.

Cheyenne G  on 11/16/2020 2:54:08 PM

I am a highschool athlete, I've been playing since the 2nd grade. Basketball has become a passion of mine. Hopefully I have the chance to continue my academics and my athletics at the school of my choice. Getting this scholarship would be a huge blessing to me and my family. The last thing I want is to be a burden on my mom. She is a single mom who is taking care of me and my 3 brothers. I try to make sure that I am no major problem ever and help out my mom when I can. Having this scholarship would put me at good standings as far as money is concerned. My ultimate goal as far as this school thing goes is to surpass completing my undergrad, and further my education in Med school. I understand the challenege, but Im down for the ride!

Payton W  on 11/15/2020 11:29:05 AM

I am applying for this scholarship because sports is an important part of my life. I have been playing sports since I was four. Sports is what makes my family tick. My dad's side of the family are all athletes. Of course, me and my brothers are no exception. I started off by playing tee ball and soccer when I was four up until I was six. When I turned six, my life changed. I played began playing football and fell in love with it. I have been playing football since first grade. I have a 3.3 unweighted GPA and I am looking to extend my football career at the collegiate level. My dream was to always play in the NFL. I always dreamt of my family screaming at the top of their lungs when I got drafted, and proudly telling people, "My son/brother/cousin/nephew/grandson is in the NFL". This scholarship will give me and my parents a much needed push to get me into a good college, and, possibly, help me get to where I want to be.

I am applying for this scholarship because track and field plays a really big role in my life. I have been ruin since I was in the 6th grade in New York. It took a lot to get used to another team in another state and getting used to the Florida weather. I have a 3.6 Gpa and I really want to continue my track career while studying for psychology and pharmaceutical research in college. Getting this scholarship would help my mom a lot with putting me thru school.

Abigail C.  on 11/11/2020 5:54:08 PM

My parents are first generation born in the United States, and as they were growing up, they had their challenges. With little high school experience and no college involvement, this leaves me to become a first generation college student. I believe I deserve this scholarship because I work hard for everything I want, like going to college and even my athleticism. I have heard about the financial struggles both my parents grew up with, and because of it, they were not able to better their education. Everyday, my parents encourage me to reach for the stars and to “think big”. And with that, I wanted to start with learning Martial arts, Kempo karate, and Jujitsu. From the ages of 4-16, my parents enrolled me into a program and after just one class, I dedicated every minute after school to this beautiful sport. Being in karate for so many years, it has raised my self confidence, and the same with my esteem, taught me effort, etiquette, character, sincerity, and self control as well as maintaining my physical and mental health. Going through middle school, I was bullied, and going to karate was my safe place. It was a place I could go to get everything off my mind and to be with ease and be accepted without judgements. With my true dedication, it has led me to become a black belt and a certified instructor and even compete to win several awards, trophies, and medals. With this, I put in countless volunteer hours and all my time just to teach young children the art and the strength of this sport. As my sophomore year of high school came about, I decided to try out for the field hockey team for my school and some would say I was a natural or that it looked like I have been playing for years. But with an unfortunate injury two weeks before tryouts of my junior year, my career in all sports was ruined and it was over for me completely. To still be a part of the team, I volunteered during the season to help new players learn, track the scores of games, and be the manager of t

I am applying for this scholarship because footlocker has been my dream job since I was little. I’ve been working at the kenwood mall location for a little over a year now and it’s helped me grow as a person a lot. Also, it has made me see the potential I have to further my education and build my career into wanting to stay with footlocker inc. but on the corporate team. I play basketball and softball at Oyler high school. I’ve been able to use my leadership skills, determination, and problem solving skills on the court, field, and the sales floor. I have a 3.5 gpa. I’ve been in many extra curricular activities but playing sports and working at footlocker has been the biggest part of life.

I am applying for this scholarship because I certainly qualify for it, and athletics are a huge part of my life. I did gymnastics since I could walk at one years old, starting with "mommy and me" classes, then grew to do competitive gymnastics for 9 years. However, I ended up quitting gymnastics and picking up three new sports: softball, basketball, and volleyball. I have been doing softball since I was nine, volleyball since 5th grade, and basketball since 6th grade. I am currently a female high school senior and have been on varsity for all three sports all four years. I tore my ACL at the beginning of my junior and worked very hard constantly to get back to doing what I love. All that hard work and many obstacles I went through payed off when I was recruited to play softball for Greenville University, and have verbally committed to play for them. SInce freshman year up until now I have averaged a GPA of a 3.85 on a 4.0 scale. All and all, I meet all of the qualifications for this scholarship and truly think I deserve it. This scholarship would also certainly help me in many ways dealing with college and the expenses that come with it. Thank you for your time and consideration.

I am applying for this scholarship because I can not imagine attending college with out playing a sport. Being an athlete drives and balances me to achieve my scholastic goals. I am a year round athlete, I ride competitively all year and play field hockey in the fall and lacrosse in the spring. I am maintaining a 4.3 GPA. This scholarship would help my parents help me attend a college so I can play all four years. I plan to play lacrosse as long as I can.

Brooke S  on 10/19/2020 10:58:57 AM

The reason I am applying for this scholarship is to let me continue with my dream of being a NCAA gymnast. One thing I have learned from being an USAG gymnast from the age of seven that you have to work very hard to achieve your goals. Another thing I learned that when injuries happen they are not always at the best time in your career. Going into my junior year I was expected to have the best season of my life and at the very first meet of season on the very last pass of my floor routine I injured my ankle (they thought I might have tore my Achilles). Coming back from this injury was difficult what didn't help is COVID and the extra time off from that during my come back but I am finally there. The problem is almost all of the 2021 College Scholarships were all ready given out. While I am ok with a walk on position and showing the coaches that I deserve a spot it is tough on my family financially due to the loss of my dad to cancer. Please help me make my dream come true of competing for a college gymnastic team.

Brendan T  on 10/18/2020 4:28:50 AM

Sports are undeniably an important aspect in life. Through my life I played soccer for 8 years, gymnastics for 9 years, wrestled for 3 years and volleyball for 3 years. Through all of these sports I can confidently say, being uneducated and not playing sports are two keys to being unsuccessful. With a 3.61 GPA and consistent athletic routines I've worked hard to keep myself improving every day I can and this scholarship would help my education and mental capabilities towards success.

Haley S  on 10/16/2020 2:25:20 PM

I am applying for this scholarship because sports are a huge part of my life. I have been playing sports for as long as I can remember. I am a high school senior girl who has been playing volleyball, basketball, and softball for all four years of high school. I started playing volleyball as a high school freshman and at the end of my first year I was pulled to varsity for sectionals. After that I have been a starter on the varsity team. For basketball I was pulled to varsity my sophomore year and was a starter. I have been playing varsity basketball since. For softball I was pulled to varsity my freshman year to be a designated hitter. After freshman year, I have been playing varsity in the field and hitting. Throughout all four years of high school, I have kept a GPA score of 3.7 or higher. In my free time after school and over the summers I have helped coach youth softball and soccer. I have been assisting with these sports for 5 years. Sports have been the thing that's kept me enjoying high school. Without sports I would not be who I am today.

This would hopefully not change once I get to Highscool, I am very dedicated and do not give up on anythig. This scholarship would help me and my family out a bunch. I plan on taking on a career that would help athletes if ever injured such as PT or AT.

I am a female high school athlete applying for this scholarship because I feel that I just might earn it. I have worked tremendously hard throughout my four years of high school, going to States three years in a row, being a top performer for cross country and track all four years, and being Cross Country Most Valuable Player for 4 years and Track Most Valuable Player for one year. I assimilate my hard work in the classroom to my hard work on the courses or tracks I run at, and am very passionate and competitive when it comes to these important aspects of my life. I am currently in the NCAA Division 1 recruiting process and aside from getting athletic, academic, and financial aid, I would love to earn this scholarship so that I am able to afford Medical School after undergraduate school. This has been a goal of mine for some time, and I have to keep putting in the work to make it happen!

Ana T  on 9/24/2020 4:06:52 PM

I have been playing for my schools varsity volleyball team since freshman year and I have kept a GPA of a 4.0 since freshman year. Sports, like volleyball are a passion of mine and I am glad to hear that because Ive played the sport that I love I can win money for it. Volleyball takes me out of my head and into a game where I dont have to worry about anything else. Sports have saved my sanity when it comes to school and I hope that because I decided to play sports in high school that I get an advantage that helps me reach my goal for the future. My dream/goal is to become a prosecutor for the state of New York and this scholarship will help in so many ways to get me there.

I am Varsity Cheer Captain at my 6A High School. I am an All-Star Competitive Cheerleader and have competed at Worlds, multiple times. However, NCAA does not recognize Cheerleading as a "sport" even though we do compete against other teams in high school at Regionals, State and National Competitions. In All-Star we compete against multiple other teams in our divisions Nationally and compete Globally at Worlds. I'm applying for this scholarship because even though NCAA doesn't recognize it as a sport. Cheer generates 2 Billion a year into the economy. It's highly competitive and fast growing. It requires strength, stamina, gymnastics skills, some "cirque de soleil" stunts. I love my teammates and competitors that I meet outside of my rural bubble. It's helped me grow as an athlete and as a person. Good Luck to all applicants! Being a student athlete is hard and it takes great work skills and mindset to succeed.

I am a senior male student and I am very interested in applying for this scholarship. I play Football and Baseball at my high school. In previous years I played Basketball, and Golf . I love the sense of pride I get from representing my school on and off the field. Now that it is time to move on to the next level, I know the importance of representation and how much weight it carries for the family, school, or community I am presenting for. Athletics is something I enjoy doing, but I know that it is my Academics that will pave the way for me in my current future. I look forward to getting more information about the Foot locker Scholar Athletes Program, the Scholarship, and Application process.

I'm a male competitive distance swimmer and have done so all throughout high school. I've never had a GPA below 4.3 and am taking all AP/College-level courses. Swimming for me has been a great way to build teamwork while also focusing on the individuality and the "beat the clock" aspect of the sport. As far as academics go, I have maintained my good academic standing through a strong work ethic and my ability to focus under pressure. This scholarship would help me to achieve my goal of earning a degree in Electrical Engineering and hopefully a career in the government.

I'm (Female) the oldest of 4 children and will be the first to attend secondary schooling. I have played many sports all growing up, such as: tennis, swimming, track and field, soccer, basketball, volleyball, boxing, power lifting, snowboarding, and softball. I have even coached little league softball and give pitching lessons as well. I am a current high school senior playing softball, volleyball, and boxing, along with my usual weight lifting. I currently have a 4.22 GPA and a 30 ACT. Being able to compete within the world of athletics has given me amazing opportunities, such as being able to problem solve and function within a team unit. Playing sports has allowed me to perceive the world in a goal driven, team orientated way.

I am a male high school athlete applying for this scholarship because from freshman year to now (senior year) I have played on the football, basketball and lacrosse team while keeping my GPA above 3.0 (Currently 3.77). Sports has always been my first love but I also work hard academically. I work as hard as I possibly can to be the best for the sports that I play. I hate losing whether its in sports or video games or a simple card game, that's how high my level of competion is. I'm always putting my brother up whether they make a good play or mess up on one! I'm a BIG team player. I don't care of scoring all the time. If I can help my team win that's what matters most! I love sports and I don't know where I'd be without it.

I am applying for this scholarship because I believe to have the talent for this sport of boxing. It is my passionate sport and i love it. I have been boxing for 3 years now and even doing small training's or workout by sparring with cousins and friends. I hate losing, I've been playing football and since it's a team-effort sport, i love my teammates, i still do but i hate it when someone gives up on a play while other people are giving all of their efforts and strength to play. This is why i hopped onto boxing, i control my own fate. I win, i win and if i lose, i give more next time.

I will apply as soon as the application is available. My primary goal in life is to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Working toward my dream, I am currently enrolled in the Medical Science Academy at Valencia High School where I hold a 4.25 GPA. This program allows me to gain experience working alongside athletic trainers to administer first aid at sporting events. By the time that I graduate, I will have over four hundred hours of work-based learning and 300 community service hours. Another one of my extracurricular activities is playing softball, which I have enjoyed for over eleven years. My travel ball experience has given me exposure to many college campuses and meeting with countless softball coaches. My athletic performance is responsible for obtaining a verbal commitment at age 15 to Wilson College in Pennsylvania to pursue a career in Veterinary Science. Although I was born and raised in southern California, I look forward to discovering new places and the opportunity to make new friends. Thank you for your consideration, any financial help would be appreciated.

Yazmeen R.  on 8/2/2020 8:21:13 PM

Hello, my name is Yazmeen R and I'm entering my Senior year at Hillsdale High School! This scholarship is a great opportunity for me because Iv'e been playing basketball for around 8 years and would like to attend a 4 year college. My GPA has always been between a 3.5 - 3.8 due to my perseverance and habits of positivity. Iv'e played through school all my years so far on the Varsity team and women's club basketball through AAU and received many medals for those tournaments. My team and I even won second place in AAU Nationals and Iv'e received the coaches award during my Sophmore year of high school. Due to covid 19, my Senior basketball season got pushed to a Spring instead of Winter sport, but that's not stopping me from trying to become team captain. Iv'e taken a course online about leadership and have continued my faith into a life of confidence, bravery, and independence since that was something I struggled with ever than before. I really love to exercise and eat well so that my lifestyle is as healthy as can be. I would be so excited and full of great/positve emotions if I were to receive this scholarship. It would definitely give me a push going into college, knowing my hard work and talent has payed off. It's so awesome that people like Foot Locker are giving away free money to those he really do deserve it! If I didn't receive this award, it wouldn't mean the end to my life, rather a new start to new beginnings and continuing my hope and faith in God's hands. I belive everything happens for a reason and will continue to keep up the positive thinking into this scholarship. :)

I am applying for this scholarship because I want to swim in college and hopefully make it far in swimming. I have been swimming since sixth grade all the way to my senior year. I always knew that it was the sport for me, It helped me when I was sad or stressed it because of school, I love the way it makes you feel before a competition and it also helped me become mature and become a better teammate. I have swam in Colombia for a national championship to represent the capital of Colombia so I hope I could keep getting better and hopefully one day make it far in that sport even if that’s to coach kids and teach them all the things I’ve learned from all the coach’s. Thank you for reading this and hopefully I have a chance a winning this because it would help out me and my family for paying college tuition.

Tiffany L  on 7/25/2020 5:14:00 PM

I am applying for this scholarship because I want to go to Rice University and play soccer there. Playing soccer and going into this university to get in a program for my specific study will be accomplishing. They have a neuroscience program that I am interested in and I will get to strengthen my skills in soccer there as well. It will be challenging but worth it at the end.

Amir-Said Shermatov  on 7/21/2020 3:40:34 AM

Although, I’m already a student at Webster University, it will be extremely difficult to earn and save money for tuition payments while, at the same time, constantly training and improving my sports career. Receiving a scholarship or grant would allow me to focus and maintain high marks in my studies, while also allowing me the time I need to achieve my goal of becoming an Olympic wrestling champion. I ask that you please consider me for your scholarship program so that I may achieve full ability in my future sports and business careers.

I am a lacrosse player looking forward to playing in college, I am currently choosing between an instate college and a out of state college, I am hoping for the out of state college because it is beautiful and it is a really good college with a nice lacrosse team but it is expensive. My parents are divorced so I only live with my mom. I am the only member of the family in history that will be going into college with an athletic scholarship. I am looking forward to studying sports management and currently training for the lacrosse team. I want to work hard for college for my parents because they never had the chance to go to college or get a good career and all they’ve asked from me is to study and go for a future with no worries of not having enough money to pay for bills or necessities. Thank you for the opportunity.

I am applying for this scholarship because I am a freshman in post-university Waterbury CT. My name is Lydia Asamoah and I’m 19 years of age. I lost both of my parents at the age of 8 years. I didn’t get a chance to see my mom because she passed away when she gave birth to me. My dad passed away when I was 8 years and I was raised by my grandma who was 50 years of age. when growing up I was not happy because life without parents it’s hard, but I think God knows the reasons why he took them away. I have been playing soccer for 10 years and have a lot of experience, I have won so many awards. I did not get a better education when I was a kid but now that I am getting an education I want to learn hard and give it to the poor and the community. I am also facing a lot of financial challenges in my life because I don't have a family members and also don't have anyone to help me. Thank You!

Isabel L  on 5/19/2020 10:19:47 AM

Sports have been a part of my life for as long as I could remember. I have played softball, soccer, basketball, and I do cross-country and track now. I have been so grateful for all the opportunities that sports have given me. I am now understanding the mental side of the sports and how much that plays a roll in an athletes performance. I have changed my mindset from being fixed and fearing failure to a growth mindset and learning that one race or game does not define me. Sports have taught me that no matter how I do in my race or a game I am loved and my parents just want what is best for me, even if that takes them yelling at me when I do not do so well, I know they have a purpose for it. If I got this scholarship I would use it to go into athletic training, because helping people not just physically but also mentally sounds exciting and something that would make me happy in the future.

I hope I am chosen because it would mean a great deal and would make all things more possible.

Trenton Williams  on 5/6/2020 1:28:26 PM

It would just be a wonderful blessing if I were to receive this much amount of money for college.

Kevin L Jones  on 5/1/2020 9:12:03 AM

I'm applying because It's been my first time in five years to be in sports and I've surprisingly excelled. I have had mostly A's with a B I'm a male cheerleader and I have made it on to my high school as well as my All star team. I was also Awarded MVP award because of my hard work ethic and talent as a cheerleader. My track team High jump coach was very interested in my ability and believed I could do very well. Sadly due to the Global pandemic our season got canceled but I was able to jump 5'8 and i'm 5'7 which I know isn't saying much. But it was also going to be my first year I was also tied as the best jumper with their jumper who had been jumping for years. I honestly had a lot of fun and high hopes for track this year. What I really plan to do if i get this money is to pursue both a career in marine biology as well as a career in music and performance because I've had a great talent for music and dance. As well as great interest in the science of the ocean. Since I was a child I remember just being astonished by how little we know about the ocean. It's astonishing how much this world has that we don't know about. But I want to show my mystery and my story with my music and my story. Though I love bot. My passion is music and I want to impact the world with my music though if I don't find Trust worthy opportunity I'll have to Set up a foundation career before I focus on my dream. Though even if I do get that opportunity I will still go to college because my education is important. because anything could happen and just to learn more about something I actually do like is a great privilege and opportunity.

Areeza A  on 4/30/2020 3:49:32 PM

Anybody can say they absolutely love the game of basketball or whatever sport they may play but do they love the process. The process of getting there to fulfill their dreams. The hard work, dedication, sweat, tears, pain, stress, commitment to fulfill a dream, is what I love. I love the feeling of getting things done the burning sensation of your feet when you've been going at it for a whole day at a basketball camp or just even at practice, shooting like till your arms feel like it's about to fall off, pushing through those moments will make a better athlete. I strive to push and be the best I can possibly be, I give it my all being a student-athlete. Although we may achieve good grades and give the beautiful game of basketball all we got; we fall short. College is expensive and I may not be 6'5, gifted with a natural athletic built, but I give it my all to the best of my ability off and on the court. I may as well get into a division three school but all that hard work, the process of getting there will not be able to happen because of the lack of money my mother and I have. The financial assistance that I have the opportunity to obtain will be greatly appreciated.

kirstan b  on 4/27/2020 9:42:16 PM

I am applying for this scholarship because I will be attending Eastern University this fall. I'm trying to play college soccer. I've been playing soccer since I was 5 years old. I absolutely fell in love with it. On top of playing soccer throughout high school iv'e played basketball, softball and have done marching band. In top of all my sports iv'e had to overcome a lot of health issues with my kidney problems. I can also use the financial assistance thank you.

This would make a huge difference in my life, coming from a household with a single mom. She worked and went to school with two kids and now she serves as a cop for Pinellas county and breaks her neck to provide and keep us above water everyday. She goes above and beyond everyday for not only me but my brother and everybody she is around in her daily job. Providing for 2 kids and trying to get them off to college can be very hard but my brother went to college for football and was lucky enough to get a full ride. My route is a little different I have a opportunity to go to school on a basketball scholarship but I have to pay some of my tuition. This money would do not only me a favor but my mom and help her on school costs.I get my strength from my mom if she can raise us on her own then I can go out in the world and go out and get what I want for my life. This money would answer prayers and be a blessing to me for getting my college started and moving on. I value education very much because I need it for sports and also for my future, in order to keep myself up in this world. God works in mysterious ways and can bless me at any moment and I believe in him a whole lot. This is a very good opportunity to come across and I hope it pays off.

Kayla H  on 4/7/2020 9:38:42 AM

I've been playing softball since I was five years old and last summer was lucky enough to get recruited by two amazing coaches. This year I got to play my first-ever collegiate game at the University of North Florida. With that, I was able to get an athletic scholarship but now I'm stuck paying for the rest on my own, I'm applying for this scholarship because I want to continue my academic and athletic career without struggling to pay each year. After completing college, I want to help student-athletes in need and make sure they have no worries besides finishing classes.

I have been playing soccer since I was 5 years old, and I also did summer track to maintain my speed for soccer. Soccer has always been my passion. I always knew as a kid that I loved competition, so that is how I knew that soccer was going to be a great fit for me. Throughout all of my soccer teams, I have been captain and exemplified leadership skills when asked to from coaches or teammates. I played high school soccer, and I have been on Varsity for all four years. I was awarded District MVP and 1st Team All State last year as a junior playing center back. Then for my senior year, I was nominated Captain of the team, and I was also awarded 1st Team All State again for the second year in a row. Not only do I play school soccer, but I also play select soccer for the Dallas Texans.

Hello. My name is Olivia Perkins, and I attend Farmington Hills Harrison High School in Michigan. I would like to thank Footlocker for the opportunity to apply for the scholarship. Whether or not I am fortunate enough to receive an award, I know I will remain true to my commitment of reaching back, and supporting those less fortunate, or in need of guidance. I have been blessed by receiving varsity letters in 4 sports (Basketball, Volleyball, Soccer, Tennis). I also have an unweighted 3.9 GPA as an International Baccalaureate student, and earned a 33 on my ACT. Applying for the scholarship really helped me know and understand more about myself, and what I contribute to society. I will be playing basketball at either Cornell, or Case Western Reserve in the Fall. Thanks again!

Kylie M  on 2/5/2018 9:05:31 PM

Good afternoon, my name is Kylie Millner and I attend Sussex Technical High School. I have participated in a variety of sports for about 8 years now. For the past three years I've been apart of the cross country team at my school. My freshman year of high school was the first year that I experienced the sport cross country. Going out for the team, I would have never known that I would love this sport and would receive important lessons of life that helped me grow mentally, and physically. Sports is a way for individuals to push themselves and achieve the goals that we have in our lives. Being apart of a team is also important, because it helps you to realize that having a family that will encourage you and push you to the limits that you have as an individual is very beneficial in life. I feel as if sports influence you on the field but even off. Your mind becomes confident and stronger and you realize that you can do anything you put your mind too. This is why I have an interests for this scholarship. To everyone, I want to encourage you to keep on pushing and never give up because you can do it. Thank you for your time.

My name isn’t Davis Barton, I’m a senior at Adel Desoto Minburn High School Iowa. I am interested in this scholarship because I’m passionate about sports. I love the thrills, the highs and the lows they bring. I love being part of a team and having teammates that I know have my back whilst I have theirs. Through high school I have dabbled in multiple sports and activities. Freshman year I participated in Football, basketball, and soccer. I was honored freshman year to play varsity soccer and to compete against older and stronger kids. When sophomore year arrived I decided to try cross county, I received a lot of grief from my football coaches, but nothing could change my mind. I ran in a couple varsity meets with my best time being 19:27. Junior year is when I realized I disliked running so much, and loved being in a team more so I rejoined football (I have no idea why I thought I’d run less) ended up as a starting corner for varsity. The knowledge I had gained from older teammates was priceless saying, “your’e not going to win every down... But we sure as heck will try.” This comment at the moment didn’t mean much to me I found it more funny than serious. I didn’t fully understand what those words meant until I became the leader. Finally I reached senior year, I became captain of the football and soccer team loved competeing each and every day with my teammates on and off the field. Currently I have a 3.4 gpa and have been on my schools honor roll since 6th grade. I’m applying for this scholarship just for the chance to help me pay for my college tuition, I am planning to become an Electrical or Civil Engineer. Like sports, I’m excited at the challenges these two degrees bring. It reminds me of why people compete, to prove the doubters wrong. Finally thank you for allowing me to the chance at this FootLocker scholarship. I appreciate how FootLocker is looking out for athletes across the United States and pushing them to keep competing at the next level.

Hi, My name is Payton Case and I am attending Shakopee High School in Minnesota and currently a junior. I am interested in this scholarship because it would help he with paying for college and also help with my family. I have been on the A or B honor since i was in seventh grade. My the semester I just finished I received and hold a 3.45 GPA. I have been playing sports for as long as I can remember. I play varsity Baseball and Football right now as a Junior. And I also played basketball but I quit my sophomore year because i wanted to focus on my training for baseball. i play club baseball for the Minnesota Starters and we travel to AZ and NV for tournaments and we won a tournament in Nevada. And there is not a day where i don't think about baseball. I love putting on that jersey and representing my town and community. I love playing in the nice weather and not worrying about anything but the sport i love. I play 3rd base and also shortstop. And Im also a running back and wide receiver for Shakopee as well for Football. I would like to attend a 4- year college and start to pursuing Business Management or Sports Medicine. Thanks again for the time and opportunity to have FootLocker Scholarship and allowing me to have this opportunity.

My name is Conall Persechino and I am currently a senior at Shrewsbury High School in Shrewsbury, MA. I have consistently been on the honor roll in high school every quarter, since I was a freshman and I currently hold a GPA of 3.55. I have been playing hockey since I was 4 years old. I was lucky enough to have made the Varsity team as a freshman and have loved every minute I have spent playing for my school. I have played defense and forward. While I love to play forward and earned my position on the team trying out as a forward, my coaches needed me on defense for the good of the team in my junior year. Their strategy worked and my team won the D3 Massachusetts State Tournament last year and my team went undefeated the entire season. I was voted as a Central Massachusetts Allstar. I also played on Junior and Varsity soccer in my Freshman and Sophmore year but had to give it up to focus on school and hockey. I also work in a hockey pro shop and as a hockey instructor as a means to save for college but also because I enjoy passing along my love of hockey to younger kids. I will be attending college in the fall of 2018 and just received my first acceptance this week. I will be studying Chemical Engineering. Chemical engineers work out the processes to make all types of products like food, plastics, medicines, while also helping to manage the world's resources, protect the environment and ensure health and safety standards are met. So not only will I be working in a career which really interests me, but I will also be able to make a contribution somehow, someway that may benefit people and/or our environment. A scholarship from Foot Locker would be greatly appreciated since my savings to date do not even come close to the cost of a 4 year undergraduate degree. Thanks Foot Locker for helping 20 lucky students with your scholarship program!

My name is Serha Hervey. I have played Volleyball, Basketball, Softball, Ran track, and I am currently a cheerleader. I have been on varsity for the track team since my freshman year. I have been a point guard for my schools JV and varsity basketball team. My GPA is a 3.1 and I have received honor roll awards. I received a defensive player of the year award in basketball. If I were to go to college for a sport it would be for cheer because that's what I enjoy doing the most. I love cheering for my sports team and making the crowd cheer them on. Thank you for your time for allowing me to submit my comment for you to read.

I am Angel Mullen. I am a high school senior and I play volleyball. I have played on varsity for three years and I have been captain for two years. My GPA is a 3.4 and I have been awarded over all MVP. I want to be able to go to college and find volleyball leagues to play in. I'm a senior in high school and the co-captain of the soccer team. I plan to go to a 4-year university and major in pre-med. I have a 3.4 GPA and I have just received a different academic reward from the Urban League.

I am 17 years old and I am the captain of the cheerleading team at Camden County Technical School. I would love to go to Rutgers Camden and join their cheerleading team. I have been doing cheerleading for over 9 years now. I have to find a way to pay for college myself as my parents don't have the means to do so. I'm a hard worker, I had to work 2 jobs and kept my grades at least a B during that time. This scholarship would help because I wouldn't have to continue to work 2 jobs in hopes of getting into college, I could focus more on my academics and athletics. Thank you for taking time out of your day to read this.

I am 16 years old from San Ysidro, California trying to strive and have a better future for my family. Currently I'm attending Chula Vista Learning Community Charter High School and will be starting my fourth year in Varsity Soccer. I've been playing since I was 4 for club and school and my goal is to become a professional but with a masters just in case I don't make it. My grades have always been above a 3.5 and I need the money so I can help my parents with all the college struggle that is about to come in the upcoming weeks and months. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed a small description of a young Mexican American.

I am a 16 year old from Compton California making the possibility to make it out of the hood to have a succeeding future. We are minorities from around the way, the lower class but I want to create change with my athletic abilities. By me showing that I am a scholar and athlete, this scholar ship will motivate me in many ways. In fact I attend Compton Early College High School which I will be the first graduating class of this program. This program is set for students that aspire goals and want to make it big or college. The school pressures us in so many ways, I could be attending a regular high school like Compton High and apply for a scholar ship but I believe this program will boost me up a bit more. This is the reason why Footlocker was my choice for applying. As an athlete, I love collecting sneakers so that is the a good reason. Who ever is reading this, I hope you enjoyed it and persuades you in which why I am applying.

I like to be very active within in my school. I play basketball, soccer, and run track. I am involved in many clubs and activities. I would need this money to extend my education into a 4-year university and excel in the medical field. Thank you
