  • Scholarship Description
  • Scholarships are awarded based on a variety of factors including academic achievement, community service, and significant extracurricular activities such as work, performing arts, and athletics. Financial need is a criterion for several scholarships, but there are also others awarded for academic merit regardless of need. Awardees must attend the annual scholarship dinner to receive the award. The dinner is held in mid-May at a venue in Santa Clara County. A keynote guest will be on hand to present the awards and speak to the audience.

    Eligibility:
    -Be a high school senior
    -Have a minimum 3.3 high school GPA
    -Be a U.S. citizen or legal resident
    -Reside in Santa Clara County, California or be the child or grandchild of a Chi Am member
    -Be college-bound and be able to show proof of acceptance to an accredited junior or four-year college (Exception: If you are a special needs student, as defined by Section 504 of the Education Code, you may attend vocational training)
    -Be of Asian descent as defined by CA Dept of Education
