  • Scholarship Description
  • The Carson Scholars Fund awards college scholarships to students in grades 4 through 11 who excel academically and are dedicated to serving their communities. Students must attend an accredited K-12 school in the United States. An interested student must be nominated by his/her school to be able to compete for a Carson Scholarship. It is up to a school how to determine its nominee. The minimum requirements are a 3.75 GPA and involvement in community service. I would encourage this award to be extended to online public cyber charter schools. Many of these schools offer coursework more difficult than the local districts and the students are motivated to achieve excellent grades. Some students also strive to complete both a full load of high school coursework and college courses taken at local community colleges. Students often include many extra-curriculars from school clubs to sports at both the local districts and privately. It does the community a disservice to exclude these highly motivated students.

I applied for this scholarship in fifth grade and won in 2008, I've been recognized as a repeat or returning scholar in 2010, 2011 and 2012. It's a great program, Dr. Carson is such an inspiration!

Gucci Gaffe Results in Green for Grads

Gucci is releasing a new line of... diversity undergraduate scholarships for students who are "traditionally underrepresented in the fashion industry."
