Friends of Richton Park, the non-profit foundation of the Village of Richton Park, announced it has awarded four (4) Bill Fleming Scholarships to Richton Park High School and College Students for the coming academic year. The scholarship was named in tribute to Bill Fleming, a resident of Richton Park who was instrumental in sponsoring and promoting the President's Golf Outing, the original source of funding for the scholarship. Several events, including the President’s Golf Outing, the President’s Candlelight Bowl, Flapjack Fundraiser, Wheel of Names Fundraiser as well as donations from residents, currently fund the scholarship.
The Bill Fleming Scholarship Committee awards college scholarships to eligible residents of Richton Park who are high school graduates, students currently enrolled in a college or university, and adults who are continuing their education. If you are planning to apply for the Friends of Richton Park Bill Fleming Scholarship Award, please fill out the online form and click submit. Then download the complete application, fill it out per the instructions and submit a printed packet to us by Friday, April 29th.
