I am a senior about to graduate high school . I am truly able to say that without God my life would be completely different now, I grew up going to church every Sunday and participating in almost every Christian activity that my parents could put me in. I enjoyed every bit of of it Until one day, my parents had a calling. Their calling was to move my family my family of 12 and I to Nicaragua when I was 11 to do mission work for almost 5 years. The first year I was there, I wanted nothing to do with it until about a year later when I learned the basics of Spanish and started making friends. I Involve myself in the culture and played soccer almost every day with Nicaraguans. Moving to Nicaragua was a big eye opener to how the world is and I did not realize in the moment how beneficial it was to me to have experience it. I was Immersed in Spanish every day, leading to me being fluent in Spanish. I don’t think I can thank my parents enough for giving me that hard experience for me to grow. I would be very thankful if you would award me this scholarship because I will work hard in college and continue my steps of faith and education. I plan on playing college soccer as well.

I am a student about to graduate high school in West Virginia. I am truly able to say that without God my life would be completely different now, I grew up moving around a lot and was influenced by the bad I was surrounded by but eventually all of that came to an end when my mother lost guardianship of me and my sister. We moved in with my grandparents and they put me in church and that was the best thing that has ever happened to me. I would be very thankful if you would award me this scholarship because I will work hard in college and continue my steps of faith and education.
